Visual Composer Issues when updating Legenda Theme

Hi.

I have updated all of my plugins to their latest versions and all is good. However, when I upload the Legenda files via FTP, all is still good until the point I go to the Legenda Theme options and click save. Then I lose VC functionality. At least that’s what appears to be happening.

Not sure how to resolve the problem, so I reload my last backup.

Currently, I have everything updated with the exception of the Legenda theme. I don’t want to reinstall it until I can resolve this issue.

Have there been any other issues report like this? If not, any suggestions of what I might be able to try going forward?

I have not attempted to start deactivating plugins one by one to see if that resolves the issue. I wanted to check in here first.

Hello,

We did not get similar reports so it is a bit difficult to find out the reason of the problem on the first sight.
You may create a staging site with the latest theme version to be able to make some tests there.
On that site, please check if you get some errors in the console while saving Theme Options and try to disable all 3rd party plugins. Also, check if the problem persists with child theme only or with parent theme too. Compare settings of WPBakery Page Builder > Role manager http://prntscr.com/j5uooe on both sites.
Let us know results.

I created a staging environment (see private content). All plugins, WordPress install, etc are all updated. When I upload the Legenda folder the homepage stops functioning as if Visual Composer is not working.

I was able to narrow down the problem to the theme-functions.php file in the latest version. As soon as that file is uploaded to the site, the homepage stop working.

All plugins are disabled with the exception of WPBakery.

I currently have the latest Legenda folder uploaded with all the plugins deactivated on the staging site.

The screenshot you sent was of the page as it is in the editor. That hasn’t changed and it all looks good. However, when you go to the homepage to view it, it is blank.

That was the problem. It is strange that copying files over into the Legenda theme would cause the problem. I assumed it was a problem with the update. Thanks again.
