Visual composer endless loading - by soonmin82

Hi there,

I’ve encountered a problem with the Visual Composer plugin. When i initially installed your XStore theme, everything worked fine. A couple of days later, it stopped working (when i click on edit with Front End or Visual Composer, it just goes into a loading screen which never ends). Fyi, a few details:
a) I’ve not installed any additional plugins asides from the one that came with the theme
b) No other major updates/installations were made between the point of it working and it stopping to work.
c) I’ve tried switching browsers. Didn’t work.
d) I’ve tried updating to the newest version of 5.01, but that didn’t work.
e) Tried deleting and reinstalling the plugin, (back to 5.0) but that didn’t work either.

I’m quite stuck, and would appreciate any advice. I’m not really tech savvy, so any layman advice would be appreciated.

Hello,

Very likely some element that you use on this page causes your issue.
Could you, please, provide me temporary admin panel and FTP access in Private Content area? I’ll check what is the reason of your problem.

Sure thing! Thanks. The details are in the private content. I’m not sure how to add ftp access though? Is the wordpress access enough?

Sorry, i forgot to mention that the page that i’ve been trying to edit is the Home Minimal page (my Front Page)

Hello,

Problem appears because you have disabled brand option in Theme Options http://prntscr.com/dg04s8 but Brands VC element was used on this page. I have removed the Brand VC element and everything works fine.

HI Olga, i noticed this as well with my VC. Can i delete the BRAND VC Element as well since i don’t use it on my website?

In next theme update (3.3), VC elements that are related to unused post types will be hidden.
