I can not get Visual Composer to Work! I am aware that Visual Composer plugin needs updating, which i have done numerous times. I have deactivated and deleted plugin, and then reinstalled the latest up-to-date version you have in your downloads. I have also gone onto the FTP and removed and updated the JS_Composer plugin But it is still not working.
I have cleared my Chache, i have gone onto different browsers and it just does not appear to work. Can someone please look into the back-end of my site to see why it is still not working?
Why are other people getting replies to there queries, and i have had nothing. I really need help, asi cant work on alot of the website. I submitted my help over 5 hours ago. i get that there is a 24hr turnaround time, but what i don’t get is why others are getting responses to there initial inquiry and i haven’t heard anything from mine.
Same issues…
That what I get from WPBakery team:
Hello, it seems you are using old elements of Visual Composer which has been substituted with the new alternatives. It is recommended to change old elements to new ones and stick to those new elements in future design process.
Is there any solution?
Not update VC plugin until you update elements for new VC? Something else?
Yeah i am just not sure… I have updated it through wordpress and manually through FTP from the link that EightTheme give us, but it still does not work. So i have gone and purchased a Visual Composer License and uploaded again and it is still not working.
So i have tried troubleshooting, by deactivating all my plugins and activating them one by one to see if one of the plugins are conflicting with VC, but it is still not working.
I have cleared my cache and cookies so many times, and tried different browsers and computers.
There is just something else that is not making VC working on this theme. I have updated it on other themes in the last couple of days and it is working…
Looks like WPBakery changed name of elements which 8theme using in demo content… I am working on some troubleshooting as well and will let you know… if there any solution.
From another side it is good that we are not along with this issue.
Hope – support team will READ this topic and will provide some solution.
Cheers!
Ok. Rolled back to Version 4.10 VC and looks like it fix all issues.
Here is the plan: keep using v 4.10 until 8theme update their theme( and elements name to latest one) but then if they update elements to meet latest VC, all previous users who using OLD theme will scream that after theme update their websites not working properly.
I think they should create some script which will rename all elements? files? etc.?
Let me know if you need VC v4.10 will send it to you.
Ok great yes please, that could be an option for now so i can actually work on this website properly, instead of spending days troubleshooting…
Still hope support get back to us though??
Oh still have issues, even with old version… Just wait a moment- I will test something else 🙂
Will give you my email in PM 🙂
no PM in this forum…
Admin: please delete this message after a while 😉
So what I found, that if I using WP v4.5 it is not working properly. Installed WP v4.4.2 with old VC and everything start working – created few pages already with VC and no problems.
I would suggest do not update WP to 4.5 until they fix issues … Let me know if you have any questions.
Cheers,
Telepuzik
Thank you very much, appreciate the speedy help!
Hey no problem… I need to finish this website by Monday too and why do not help someone else 🙂
Keep in touch ^^^ via my email, send me email if you have question- maybe I already have a solution 😉
Looks like we are in same time-zone as well
Hello dear customers,
Are your issues resolved now?
Regards,
Eva Kemp.
Yes this is currently working. Although i did receive this response from Wp bakery Support:
The issue is because there is a Visual Composer related code present in your theme added by the theme author. You will have to get rid of it. I would advise you to do so with the help of theme author, otherwise you might loose the extra elements added by him. Once this is done, you can install the standalone plugin and it will work fine. Kindly check.
Thank you,
Although my theme and VC are currently working.
Hello @letsdesignit,
You don’t need to remove theme code if VC editor is working fine now.
Let us know if further assistance is required.

Eva Kemp.
