    hi

    I have paid for extended support as I have several issues with the Legenda theme which I have been successfully using for a few years, that have not been addressed with the new 3.9 version which I waited many months to be released. I am not sure that all issues below are only due to Legenda, but whatever the cause, these problems are causing a drop in online sales. I hope you can look into this and help?

    1/ The theme is not full responsive on mobiles. I do not know what has created this error as it used to work well. I hoped this latest release would solve it as it did before – but has not. I have tried disabling most plugins etc that I can without the site going down. The lack of mobile responsive is considered to be an error by Google and is also a serious problem for online business.

    2/ Google Maps (on contact page) is greyed out. I have spoken to Google and apparently the theme is not including the API key correctly? I wonder if this is because Google changed the code to V3 this summer with their new payment requirements for Maps? It used to work until mid summer.

    3/ At the login page I get an error when logging in that displays this following warning and does not immediately go into the Admin pages. I have to retype the /wp-admin/ URL again and refresh to actually see the Admin page:

    Warning: mysqli_query(): Empty query in /var/sites/t/MYWEBSITE.com/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1924

    I also see this error when navigating between pages (i.e. User page):

    header information – headers already sent by (output started at /var/sites/t/thegreatfrogpaterson.com/public_html/wp-content/themes/TGFP_3-9/framework/version-check.php:158) in /var/sites/t/MYWEBSITE.com/public_html/wp-admin/includes/misc.php on line 1126

    4/ Product images in Woocommerce single item pages do not always load. Quick View option is ok.

    5/ Is the out of date WPBakery Visual Composer version 4.11.2.1 plugin still ok to use? I wonder if it is making the site slow to load?

    Please, contact administrator
    for this information.

    Hello,

    Thanks for contacting us. Please provide correct wp-admin (login and pass) and FTP (hostname, username, password, port) access.
    1) Please provide screenshots for better understanding the problem. Do you have the problem only with our theme or even when a default WC theme – Storefront activated on your site?
    I’ve tested your site here – https://search.google.com/test/mobile-friendly
    http://prntscr.com/lhceas
    Also, you may see this as result of testing your site http://prntscr.com/lhcg9q, so check your robots.txt file (these articles can be useful https://www.ostraining.com/blog/general/google-mobile-robots/ https://mor10.com/robots-txt-might-be-ruining-your-mobile-friendly-ranking-with-google/ ).
    2) Do you have API key? Please read how to get it https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/tutorials/adding-a-google-map#step_3_get_an_api_key .
    Go to Theme Options > Contact Form > Google Map API and add api key.
    Then you need edit the file wp-content/themes/legenda/contacts.php, find the line 175
    <script type="text/javascript" src="https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js?sensor=false"></script>
    , replace the code with this
    <script type="text/javascript" src="https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js?key=YOUR_API_KEY&sensor=false"></script>
    , add your API key instead of “YOUR_API_KEY” text in the link.
    3) Do you have the problem only with our theme or with a default WC theme – Storefront too?
    Let us know and provide access so we can take a closer look.
    4) Please provide URL of page where we will be able to see the problem.
    Did you make changes in template files?
    5) To update premium plugins, connect to your server using FTP. Copy extracted plugins folders into wp-content/plugins/ . The latest versions of plugins you can find here – https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/

    Thank you for your prompt attention.

    I supply the login details below (as I forgot in my first request and could not add until your reply). The FTP details have already been supplied above.

    2/ I will attend to API code. I do have a key and it is inserted in the Theme Contact Form, as it always was.

    3/ I do not know if the issue is only with Legenda. The mobile tests do reveal a list of issues. I will look at the robot.txt file. Please try to see if you can find the issue.

    4/ I have not made changes to the template files, only the CSS files.

    5/ I will upload those newer plugin versions and see what the result is.

    – Please find the WP login details below. You will see the issues as you enter the site.

    Please, contact administrator
    for this information.

    In addition.

    Google Maps is now resolved.

    Latest plugins are installed – thank you.

    I have changed the robot.txt file so it now shows no errors at all for responsive … but the actual site still does not collapse to mobile size correctly, only tablets.

    hi.

    The not responsive issue is confirmed. The default theme(s) do NOT have an issue, only Legenda. This is easy to see when you visit the website frontend.

    The login problem may be due to your IP? What is your IP?. I do not see any failed attempt has been made to login.

    Here is a screen shot of the login page issue I report: https://prnt.sc/lhqiat (nb: the URL: MYSITE.com/wp-admin/ has to re-entered to gain access after the correct login and password has already been entered. You already have the correct login credentitals above and FTP).

    – thanks

    Hello,

    We found that you are using CloudFlare. Could you sign in to allow us to clear cache after changes http://prntscr.com/li6qde ?

    Problem with the single product was caused by missing bg_90.png image in /wp-content/themes/uploads/ folder because you used incorrect path when changed the bg image for the dark version http://prntscr.com/li72pd
    1) Why do you use image if this is simple dark color? 2) Why did you edit dark.css template file? Editing of the template files causes problems in the future. Use child theme to change the styles.
    What other changes in template CSS files did you do? Responsive problem is related to your custom.css file and width for the page wrapper https://gyazo.com/603ecf3982da56bae33885f0127335f0 but you wanted to change the background only. Why did you add all that code if you wanted to check the background? I have fixed that code but don’t see changes because of CloudFlare cache, clear it.
    Also, move all the changes of the CSS rules from parent theme to child theme style.css, not all the CSS but only changes styles. For example, you want to change the bg color for the .shopping-cart-widget .widget_shopping_cart_content there is no need to copy all the styles that this selector has

    .shopping-cart-widget .widget_shopping_cart_content {
      opacity: 0;
      visibility: hidden;
      -webkit-transition: 0.2s all ease-in-out;
      -moz-transition: 0.2s all ease-in-out;
      -ms-transition: 0.2s all ease-in-out;
      -o-transition: 0.2s all ease-in-out;
      transition: 0.2s all ease-in-out;
      position: absolute;
      z-index: 10001;
      right: 0;
      top: 42px;
      margin-top: 20px;
      border-top: 1px solid #f1f1f1;
      background: white;
      text-align: left;
      padding: 20px;
      width: 320px;
      -webkit-box-sizing: border-box;
      -moz-box-sizing: border-box;
      box-sizing: border-box;
      border: 1px solid #ebebeb;
      -webkit-box-shadow: 2px 2px 10px 2px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.1);
      box-shadow: 2px 2px 10px 2px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.1);
    }

    It will be enoug to change bg only into custom.css or child theme style.css
    .shopping-cart-widget .widget_shopping_cart_content {background: #333333;}

    Reply back after that.

    hi Olga

    thank you for your attention and tuition.

    Yes, possibly I made design changes in such a way that is too complicated etc, yet all was fine for a long while.

    So you are aware – Cloudflare controls are within WP admin under Settings … and I can see that now I refresh everything that the responsive issue has been resolved. This was a major problem. Thank you!

    For now – even with the code warning errors – I will consider this thread to be complete … until such time as I can attempt to change CSS edits in a manner you describe. I may recontact you/your team then.

    Again, I appreciate your patience.
