Variation Gallery fallback on main gallery

Hello 8 Theme Support,

I have the following problem:

I am using the variation gallery. If I don’t add a gallery to a variation, it actually uses the main gallery, right?

But if I select a pre-selected variation, which is directly selected, this does not work. Then it tries to apply the variation gallery, although nothing is stored there.

We do not need a variation gallery for every product. Then we simply use the main gallery for the product.

I hope you have understood what I mean.
Is there a solution?

thanks for the quick reply and the very good support.
It works!

The loading process of the images takes some time and the website hangs a bit when the images appear. Is there a solution so that the images are displayed immediately, not only after opening the page?

When u visit the link (private area) you see, that there is a problem. The shop automatically unselect the product.

Please remove the code in the functions.php
Its, okay, i will upload images to the variation gallery.

The main thing is that the online store works properly for the time being.
