Variable Products not shown in Featured Products

Hello,

The Variable Products are not shown in the Featured Products list (although they are listed in the Lasted Products).

Step to reproduce:
1. Create a variable product (or go to an existing one).
2. Check both “Mark this product as a SPECIAL one” and “Mark this product as a NEW one”.
3. Go the the home page (standard theme, no customizations), and you will notice the product does not show up in Featured Products.

Hello Eva,

Thank you for the quick reply and for your help.

I thought that “mark as SPECIAL” will add the product to the Featured Products. I was wrong.

Could you please let me know what the SPECIAL flag is used for?

Hello,

Sorry for a delay.
“Special” products are shown with the widget “8theme Special Offers” which you can add to Product Page Sidebar. The products which you mark as special will be displayed in the sidebar with the help of that widget.
