Variable Products don't have the right thumbnail in the shopping cart pop-up

Hello,

The shopping cart quick preview pop-up (Recently added items) displays the Featured Image thumbnail instead of the image thumbnail associated to that product variation added to chart (i.e. all the variations will have the same image thumbnail: the featured image).

However, when going to the Cart page the images are correct (those associated to the product variations are displayed).

Displaying different images in Recently added items and Cart page is a front-end inconsistency, and it could also get the user confused (thinking that a wrong product was added to cart when reviewing the cart quick preview pop-up).

Hello Eva,

I realize it is not that simple when I tried to fix the issue by myself. In the meantime I found other glitches (bugs) on the lightbox image gallery, so your developers might reconsider a complete overhaul of this feature.

Also, since it requires a lot of customization, could you discuss with the developers, and ask them to do their best in order to follow the WooCommerce standards for the coming theme update (see this related topic https://www.8theme.com/topic/the-theme-does-not-follow-the-woocommerce-standards/)?
