Variable Product Images Not Switching upon selection

Hello,

I have created a bunch of variable products in my store and added the text for each variable product. currently when selecting an attribute on the frontend the images are not switching.

How can I get the image to switch when a different variable attribute is selected?

I believe at this time

I have uploaded images into each variable product that I have but they still do not switch.

Hello,

Please read this article and watch video https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/variable-product/ make sure that your products were created correctly.
Do you use additional plugins? Try to disable 3-rd party plugins, to check if the problem is caused by one of plugins.
Let us know the results. If you need further assistance, provide URL of your site and temporary wp-admin access.

Hi thanks for the quick response. I currently only have the plugins that were suggested in the installation of your theme installed on my site. The site is currently not live to share a url. I have created the variable products just like the link you shared but still it only shows the featured image for the product rather than the variable product image

Please provide screenshots or video of the single product page (backend and frontend), for better understanding the situation.

I believe I actually found the issue. Basically i had all the variable products setup correctly and had even added images for each. However, I did not add a product featured image. to the product page. Once i added one product image to the product page all my variable images started to display and switch. This seems like a bug or something that should be adjusted in your theme.

Basically in short I could add all the variable products I want with images and save those. But unless I add a product image to the product page itself my variable product images do not display. I would allow variable products images to display even if the “Product Image”( featured Image section) is left empty.

Hello,

I have sent this situation to our developer and they will check if the situation can be fixed.
For now, I can’t say for sure if this can be fixed, because even Storefront (default WC theme) has a problem on the product page without the featured image, http://prntscr.com/n5qe8j > http://prntscr.com/n5qecm – the gallery is not shown, but http://prntscr.com/n5qgvc > http://prntscr.com/n5qh1v
Please add featured images for all products, because it is required for now.
