Hi , Can you help with this issue please?

A number of visitors who are using macs are finding it impossible to use the mouse scroller when scrolling up and down any page on my woopress site. it shoots right to the top or straight to the bottom when the mouse wheel is moved.

I have been trying to install scripts to control in the custom css this but they have only slightly improved things.

Here is a page for you to try if you have a mac

    Many thanks in advance

    Hello,

Please update the theme to the latest version and Woocommerce as well.
Before update delete “woocommerce” folder in the directory wp-content/themes/woopress/ and it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package.
Also update all required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ .

Don’t forget to create back up of your files and database before starting update process!

(it’s for Legenda theme but the process is the same).

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

Thanks Eva, are you saying this is a known problem and changing the theme will fix it?

Updating the makes me quite nervous because of what needs backing up. Do I need to backup the Theme options / Custom CSS code and the Import/Export menu (Export options) with all the:

    eyJtYWluX2xheW91dCI6IndpZGUiLCJmaXhlZF9uYXYiOlsiMSJdLCJmYXZpY29uX2JhZGdlIjpbIjEiXSwiZm9vdGVyX2RlbW8iOlsiMSJdLCJ0b190b3AiOlsiMSJdLCJ0b190b3BfbW9iaWxlIjpbIjEiXSwiZ29vZ2xlX2NvZGUiOiIiLCJyaWdodF9jbGlja19odG1sIjoib29wcyEiLCJmb3JjZV9hZGRvbnNfY3NzIjpbIjEiXSwiYWN0aXZlY29sIjoiIzUzN2Q0MSIsImJhY2tncm91bmRfaW1nIjp7ImJhY2tncm91bmQtY29sb3IiOiIjRjFFQUREIiwiYmFja2dyb3VuZC1yZXBlYXQiOiIiLCJi blah..

What about logos? will be lost with an upgrade? or are they in content?

What about woocommerce plugins will they still work without re-installling them?

    Many thanks

    Ky

    Hello,

This is not a common issue. Perhaps there is conflict between some plugins.
Before update you need create back up of the site files and database. Woocommerce plugins will work after theme update.

Also disable all 3rd-party plugins and check your site after that.

    Thanks Eva,

I can’t be upgrading without knowing for certain that it will fix the problem. I hoped you might have known about the mac issue. I suspect it’s a plugin.

So the best way for me to test this is to use a mac and visit a site you can give me which has some long pages, like a blog site using wootheme. If the mac has no problem scrolling, then I will then know that my problem is probably a plugin.

    If that makes sense.

Have you a site you can send me to please?

    Many thanks

    Ky

    Hello,

I have disabled Smooth Scroll option in Ultimate > Smooth Scroll.
Clear browser cache and check the site now.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.
