    Dear XStore Support Team,

I recently tried removing unused CSS from the theme’s CSS file to optimize performance. After making those changes, the frontend layout began breaking. To fix this, I re-uploaded the original CSS file exactly as it was before.

While everything appears to be working correctly in the WordPress backend, the frontend is still not functioning properly. Specifically, I’m facing the following issues:

Banner buttons are not working or clickable

Mobile view is broken, including the search button and other responsive elements

Layout and design changes are not reflecting on the live site

I’ve already cleared my browser cache and refreshed the site multiple times, but the issues persist.

Could you please look into this and let me know how to resolve it? Your quick support would be greatly appreciated as this is affecting my site’s usability.

    Dear @Fantasy,

    Thank you for reaching out.

We would like to inform you that directly removing files from the XStore parent theme is not a recommended approach, as it may lead to unexpected issues or loss of functionality.

Instead, we suggest using a caching plugin such as WP Rocket or LiteSpeed Cache to handle the removal of unused CSS in a safe and efficient manner. You can find more information on this process in the following article:
    https://wp-rocket.me/google-core-web-vitals-wordpress/remove-unused-css/

Additionally, if needed, you may download the latest version of the XStore parent theme from our official website (https://www.8theme.com/downloads/) and upload it to the following directory on your server:
    / wp-content / themes / xstore

We hope this helps. Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Best regards,
    The 8Theme Team

Thank you for your response and the helpful guidance.

I understand now that directly modifying the parent theme’s files is not recommended. I appreciate the suggestion to use a caching plugin like WP Rocket or LiteSpeed Cache for handling unused CSS safely going forward.

At this point, I’ve already re-uploaded the original xstore.min.css file, but the frontend issues still remain. Specifically:

Banner buttons are still not working

The frontend layout looks inconsistent, even though the backend appears fine

Could you please help me fully restore the default theme functionality?

    Dear @Fantasy,

We hope this message finds you well.

We have noticed that your website is currently utilizing Cloudflare services. At your earliest convenience, could you please clear all caches on the Cloudflare side?

If the issue persists after purging the cache, we kindly recommend restoring the website from the most recent backup.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

    Best regards,
    The 8Theme Team

🔴 The footer is not working correctly — some widgets or elements are not appearing or behaving as expected.

🔴 Banner buttons are still not clickable — even though the design looks fine, the buttons don’t respond.

⚠️ The overall loading speed is very slow, especially on mobile and the homepage. While the site opens eventually, it takes too long and affects the user experience.

I’m using a caching plugin already and have cleared all cache (browser + plugin), but these issues continue.

    Could you please help me:

Fix the footer and banner functionality

Suggest the best performance settings for XStore + Elementor + WooCommerce

Let me know if I need to reset any particular theme settings or files to fix these elements

I’d really appreciate your further help in resolving this completely.

While the backend is working fine, I’m still facing the following issues on the frontend:

🔴 Footer is not displaying correctly — some elements or widgets are missing or not aligned properly.

🔴 Banner buttons are not working — they appear visually, but are not clickable or redirecting.

However, after doing restore, the entire frontend layout has vanished, and nothing is displaying properly now. The site is live but appears broken, and I am extremely nervous and worried at this point.

Please help me urgently restore the website to how it was before. I am even willing to provide temporary admin access whichever need if your team can directly check and fix the issue.

I would really appreciate your support in resolving this as soon as possible. Thank you so much.

Could you kindly reach out to your hosting provider’s support team and request a rollback to a backup from approximately 2–3 days ago? This may help resolve the current issue.

At the moment, we are also unable to access your backend.

    Thank you for your cooperation.
