    Dear XStore Support Team,

    I hope you’re doing well.

I’m currently facing serious issues with my website after updating the PHP version to 8.4. Once updated, the site becomes extremely slow, and Elementor often stops working — sometimes it doesn’t load at all, and other times it shows 500 internal server errors.

In addition, I have several templates built in the Elementor Theme Builder, and these templates stop loading entirely when PHP 8.4 is active. This severely affects the frontend and backend editing experience.

When I revert the PHP version back to 7.4, everything starts working smoothly again.

I also noticed that your theme’s requirements still mention PHP 7.4, and the documentation was last updated in 2024. Could you please let me know when you plan to update the theme to fully support the latest PHP versions (at least 8.1 or 8.2)?

This is creating a major compatibility issue:

If I use PHP 7.4, the theme works fine but many plugins now require newer PHP versions.

If I upgrade to PHP 8.4, the theme and Elementor (including Theme Builder templates) break.

I kindly request that you provide a permanent solution or an official compatibility update so that the theme functions properly with the latest PHP versions. This issue is blocking essential updates and plugin usage on my site.

Looking forward to your quick response.

    Hello, 4Nodes,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing after updating to PHP 8.4. At the moment, our theme is officially compatible with PHP 7.4–8.3, and we are currently working on ensuring full compatibility with newer PHP versions, including PHP 8.4 and above.

Please note that PHP 8.4 is still in the early stages of adoption, and some third-party plugins such as Elementor may not yet be fully optimized for it. We recommend using PHP 8.2 or 8.3 for the best performance and stability until an official update is released.

Our development team is actively testing and preparing an update to address these compatibility issues. Once the new version is available, it will be announced in the changelog and documentation.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. Should you have any further questions or require assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team

Thank you for your prompt response and clarification regarding the PHP version compatibility.

We completely understand that PHP 8.4 is still in its early stages. However, since this update is important for our website’s performance and security, could you please let us know if there is an estimated timeline (ETA) for when the compatibility update will be released?

Having a tentative release date will help us plan our development and maintenance schedule accordingly.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Hello, 4Nodes,

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide an exact release date, as it depends on when Elementor and WordPress add support for PHP 8.4.

    Best regards,
    The 8Theme Team

    Additional:

Officially, WordPress is not yet compatible with the latest PHP 8.4 version. You can find more details here: https://make.wordpress.org/core/handbook/references/php-compatibility-and-wordpress-versions/

    Best regards,
    The 8Theme Team
