    Hello,
I really need your help. I just checked my site and noticed, that all theme options were set to default although I made nothing! I then made all settings in theme options again but sometimes received an error message (please find a screenshop in private content). I refreshed the page, everything looked fine and I continued making the settings. But suddenly, all settings were reset again! I then deactivated ALL plugins and chose the ROYAL theme as active theme (I was using a child theme), but I still get the error message when I try to save the changes in theme-functions (p.e. when I chose another header and then press safe). Could you please have a look? I set my page in maintenance mode now but when you log in, you can access and see everything.
Any help would be really appreciated because this is a big problem I’ve never had before.

    MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE!

I’ve just made a fresh installation of Royal, but the problem still exists. I just noticed that the right for the folder “royal” in wp-content/themes are set to 710 while the rights for the standard theme “twentyfifteen” are set to 755. Might this be the problem causing the error?

I have corrected all rights (755 for folders and 644 for files), but the probles still exists. No idea what to do. Please help.

I could’nt let my page any longer in maintenance mode, so I re-activated all plugins and my childtheme and made all settings in theme-options again. But I have still the problem that I get the error message and sometimes, after saving the settings they are completely resetted. I tried it also with different php-versions, no luck 🙁

dont know if this helps but when I get the error, the address bar shows:
    http://www.mysite.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=ot-theme-options&settings-updated=true&tgmpa-dismiss=dismiss_admin_notices#section_single_product

and if I get no error, the address bar of the same page shows:
    http://www.mysite.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=ot-theme-options&tgmpa-dismiss=dismiss_admin_notices#section_single_product

and i see the error in firefox as well as in chrome.

As I see, you have only made these 2 tests and nothing else. My site is in maintenance mode since 4 hours. Have you planned to check my issue within the next hour or can I quit the maintenance mode? I want to prevent that you make any changes when my site is visible to the visitors..

    Hello,

I increased memory_limit value in wp-config.php file, then I tested Theme Options enabling/disabling different options and saving settings a lot of times. No errors appeared.
Please clear browser cache/cookies and check again, also try to check in another browser.

    Thank you.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

Thanks for your soon reply. I’ve cleared cache & cookies (as I always do every few minutes), and already on my first try, the error appeared again. As said, I’ve got this issue in firefox and in chrome. One hour ago, I tried it many times and the error did not appear, but a few minutes later, it appeared almost every time

I mean if this error would only affect the backend I wouldnt worry. But what is really bad is that it sometimes resets all settings. 🙁

    Hello,

Could you please clarify your sentence “all sites in dashboard are empty”?
What site do you mean? Where can we see it? Please show a screenshot of the issue.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

Fashione, could you please open a new thread for this? I opened this thread because of another problem and posting about different problems in the same thread is just confusing. Thanks for your understanding.

    Hello @Royalty,

Please enable parent Royal theme, disable all 3rd-party plugins and cache plugin as well. Clear browsers cache and cookies and check Theme Options again.

    Thank you.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

Thats exacetly what I did yesterday and also the day before. The problem still persisted. So I had to activate them again because my page has to be online. Do you want me do try it again? I am sure that the problem will still exist as long as we dont find the real cause.

could please one of you log into my admin panel (please find my credentials on the first site of this thread) and go to theme options and just click “save changes” a few times (without changing anything because my site is online) – so you will see the error. It makes no change if I have my childtheme + plugins activated or if I try it with parent theme and all plugins deactivated (and cleared cache of course).
Maybe it would already help if you see the error.
Any help would be really appreciated because I dont know what to do anymore.
    Many thanks in advance!

    Hello @Royalty,

Please take our apologies but we can’t replicate the issue you described.
I’ve just clicked “Save Changes” in Theme Options for 10 times and everything is fine, there are no errors.
We’d like to help but unfortunately we’re unable to reproduce the problem. Sorry.

Are your browsers up to date?
Could you please check on another PC or another Internet Provider?

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

Thank you Eva. Yes, all my browsers are up to date but this problem still drives me crazy. I wanted to test it again, clicked save changes, the error appeared and all settings were set to default 🙁 I dont know what to do anymore. I will test it on another notebook in a few hours. I tested it on my iPad and by now, the error did not appear there. Any ideas what I could do or what could be the cause? It only appears on Royal theme options. all other options/plugins/themes work like a charm.
    thank you.
