    Hi there. Since updating to the latest version of Royal theme I’ve lost my Visual/Text tabs for page editing. I’ve tried deactivating all plugins which doesn’t help and I’ve also made sure that it’s not turned off in my user profile settings. Any other ideas?

    Hello,

    Navigate to Dashboard->Visual Composer->Role Manager->Post Types->Custom and select all of them.

    Hello,

    As I see the tabs are there. See screenshot: http://prntscr.com/bmxeuv

    Also you should click on the “backend editor” button (http://prntscr.com/bmxfg6) to see the Visual Composer content.

    Regards,
    Robert Hall

    Hi Robert
    But if you add a text box using visual composer you’ll see that it’s stuck in text mode, I can’t click the tabs to switch between text and visual editor in a text box.
    I have some screen shots below to explain what I mean.

    Hello,

    Please disable all 3rd-party plugins and check the editor after that.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

    I am having the same issue and I have tried disabling plugins and still can’t figure what’s going on. Another thing I had to remove the Royal Child because it was causing me to not be able to get into the admin page. kept going to 404 page.

    Hello @pro2know,

    As I see VC editor is working fine and Visual/Text editors are working properly: http://prntscr.com/boim70

    Please clarify your issue with more details.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

    Hello @loulouby2,

    I’ve checked Text element in VC editor on your home page and it’s working: http://prntscr.com/bokkz0.
    Try to clear browser cache and check again or check in another browser.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

    Thanks it was the browser cache. The other problem I have with the update is when I use the royal child theme it adds things to the .php in the child theme from either a plugin or something and causes issues to get into wp-admin. I have to change the child theme name to be able to get back into the wp-admin. I didn’t know if this is something you knew about or not this is what it adds to the child theme .php file only after the update. Not sure if it’s a plugin injecting something but I didn’t add any other plugins before or after the update and it was working fine before. I know going away from child theme also fixed the google map error as well. Maybe this code can help you figure whats causing conflict with plugins and the theme. I restored several times and it added same code each time I did the update even on a localhost.

    add_filter( ‘login_errors’,
    create_function(
    ‘$a’, ‘”Invalid username or
    password.”;’
    ) );

    add_filter( ‘the_generator’, ‘__return_null’ );

    function schoolpress_wp_login_filter( $url, $path, $orig_scheme ) {
    $old = array( “/(wp-login\.php)/” );
    $new = array( “new-login” );
    return preg_replace( $old, $new, $url, 1 );
    }
    add_filter( ‘site_url’, ‘schoolpress_wp_login_filter’, 10, 3 );

    function schoolpress_wp_login_redirect() {
    if ( strpos( $_SERVER[“REQUEST_URI”], ‘new-login’ ) === false ) {
    wp_redirect( site_url() );
    exit();
    }
    }
    add_action( ‘login_init’, ‘schoolpress_wp_login_redirect’ );

    Hello @pro2know,

    I’ve removed the mentioned code from child functions.php file and activated child theme in the WP Dashboard.
    I was able to access WP admin panel successfully then.

    Clear browser cache and check.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.
