Updating xStore theme - by sisalik - on WordPress WooCommerce support

    How to update theme? Is it not possible through WordPress??

    The video has 3 options:
    1) Doesn’t show up (is there any pdates at all?)
    2) I don’t know where I can find Envato Market plugin (Envato sent me an email about the update)
    3) I don’t want to REMOVE it

    Hello,

    1) The latest version of XStore theme is 7.2.11. So, if you use the latest version of the theme you won’t see any notification in the Dashboard > Updates.
    2) If you use auto-updates you don’t need Envato Market plugin. If you want to use that plugin to update the theme you can find the link here https://xstore.helpscoutdocs.com/article/63-theme-update
    3) What exactly don’t you want to remove?

    2) Envato sent me an email about your theme’s update, but as I understand, there is no update, actually.
    3) The video had 3 steps, the 3rd one was to remove all using FTP.

    Also: I never get an email about your forum answers! Only for the first answer. Do I need to tick the choice every time?

    Hello,

    2) We updated preview image and probably Envato sent you email. We did not release the new version.
    3) Because you can update theme in few different ways as described here https://xstore.helpscoutdocs.com/article/63-theme-update

    If you checked the notification once you should get that. Check the spam folder.
    If you don’t have notification there then provide us with access to your 8theme account and we’ll check the issue in more detail.

    I always check the post with the tick of sending notifications, but I don’t get any notifications starting your second reply.

    Today I remembered that I had some issues here in forum and when I logged in, there were posts from 1w 1d ago. No e-mails from forum about these.

    Also I have updated XStore theme to the latest, but WPBakery has update from 6.6 to 6.7 and this is still not updated. The update has been available at least a couple of weeks.

    Is it pobbile to turn on auto-updates for Xtheme, like for the WP plugins, so I don’t have to log in and update manually every time you update the theme?

    Hello,

    You should be able to update theme and XStore core plugin from WP Dashboard > Updates.
    But you need to click update theme or update plugin button. There is no option to update theme or plugin without that. And actually it’s not even recommended because sometimes we release major updates that could cause issues on your site if you used child theme and changed something there. So, it’s always recommended to do backup before the major theme update.

    Well because of no automatic renewal I skipped many updates and after the recent update my page crashed and I needed to disable the theme by FTP and DB. It probably would have not happened if it would have updated on every update release automatically. I don’t always have the possibility to update the theme after every update release.

    Hello,

    As a rule, you can skip a few minor updates but not a lot of major updates.
    Anyway, it is always recommended to control the theme update process instead of auto-update. We can do nothing with this from our site.
