Hello

Ive updated my PHP to 7.0 and I have a major error. My site is now down and I can’t update the theme. Are you able to help? I have contacted my ISP with no reply as yet. Are you able to help?

This has been fixed back to 5.0. What is the best way to update my Legenda Theme?

Hello,

Please try this way of theme update: export theme settings in Theme Options > Import/Export > Import or Export your theme configuration > Export Options, then activate default theme (Storefront), rename legenda folder via FTP and upload new theme archive in wp-admin > themes or theme folder via FTP (without overwriting), enter your purchase code to activate the theme and skip Setup Wizard, then import your theme options. Check your site, if all is well, you can delete the old theme. Likely, after the update, you need to re-add widgets (Appearance > Widgets). Also, update all required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/.
Don’t forget to create backup of your files and database before starting update process!

So I backed up the legend folder before replacing it, but your instruction on this page said to OVERWRITE…. https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/legenda/#!/installation_upgrade

So I have done that and now my site is haywire!!

You can use way with overwriting to update theme, in this case delete “woocommerce” folder, which is located in wp-content/themes/woopress/ to avoid problems with old files.
