    Hi guys

some time ago you commented about best settings for use with WP Rocket. Obviosuly lots of changes lately and bringing certain things into the theme e.g. Wishlist etc – so I wondered if you could advise updated settings for WP Rocket that you would consider?

I use WPEngine for hosting so good there. But still the site is not that fast so any advice would be incredible.

Perhaps a detailed update of what we should consider would be good?

Also would you suggest any other optiisation plugins to site alongside e.g. Autoptimise? or anything else?

    Hello,

    Thanks for using XStore.
We recommend using the CDN of WP Rocket in combination with the WP Rocket itself.
Setting up WP Rocket to combine and minify files is a top priority.
We consider the use of any plugins that improve and optimize your pictures positively.

    Regards

Is it possible for you to do a video walkthrough showing the X-Store theme settings for optimisation when used in conjunction with the options of the WP Rocket plugin?

At the moment there is no real clarity on which options to use as your theme appears to offer speed optimisation but then it is not clear if the options are needed when alongside WP Rocket.

I’m sure there are lots of people with the same issue of not being sure which to use in the theme and which not.

    Thanks

    Hello,

    Thanks for the reply.
    Here are screenshots of settings from https://xstore.8theme.com/elementor/demos/niche-market02/ demo – https://prnt.sc/DBTJkJ12-yT_ https://prnt.sc/Fal33-Oezp9v https://prnt.sc/N76d6eiqHSBt https://prnt.sc/S5TitW_5WfND https://prnt.sc/j5XEBEpJyvrq https://prnt.sc/X1PUmkgdJ_-t https://prnt.sc/eufe00Bgjfqt https://prnt.sc/qt4DpV2qXLnV https://prnt.sc/EAGVC_y3STcz
We do not create video tutorial because settings may be different from site to site depending on many factors, for example, 3rd party plugins on site.

Thanks for this reply. Whilst it is helpful to follow – what it does not do is explain what each of the options do in detail and how they either are important to use with WP Rocket or not.

At some stage it would be good for you to release some sort of guide as to why you have these in the theme.

At the moment we are working in the dark not knowing what benefit there is if any with some of these.

I attach a video showing a BUG when following your settings,

    Hello,

It is not a bug, but the reason why we did not create 1 article with strong recommendation, as was mentioned “settings may be different from site to site depending on many factors”. All options of the theme can’t be activated with all options of cache plugin, because some compatibility issues will occur (however I will send your report to dev team, and they will check if there is anything that can be done from our side to make the mentioned settings compatible). On niche-market02 demo, a different hover effect is activated for product images, so mentioned settings work fine there. On your site, you need to do a few tests to find which settings of WP Rocket plugin should be activated to achieve the best result.
Setting up the cache plugin should be done in one of the final steps of speed optimization, before activation WP Rocket, you need to do basic optimization, which we mentioned in the private content area for you, optimize images, activate XSTORE Ajaxify in the settings of some large elements, disable large and unuseful plugins (it may help to reduce the amount of js files), and so on.

    Regards

Please read this article – https://docs.wp-rocket.me/article/15-disable-lazy-load-on-specific-images , to be able to use that option, add the next class in the settings of the WP Rocket .main-hover-slider-img
    Frontend -> https://prnt.sc/M9eH-nkhqkdh
and exclude the header logo from lazy loading by adding the following class to exclusions
    .et_b_header-logo-img
