    Hi,

I bought your theme, but I have a question.

I have to update the site of a customer who has version 2.1 of your theme, WordPress 4.6.17 and WooCommerce 2.6.6.

how should I proceed to have as few problems as possible?

    thank you very much

    Hello,

In your case, I would suggest you to create a staging site (full copy of the existing one) and provide us with Dashboard and FTP access to the staging site. We’ll update the theme, you’ll check and if everything is ok then you’ll be able to update the production site. If anything is wrong then you’ll have time to get the fix and only after that update production.
2.1 is out of date version and update to version 6.2.14 may cause issues, that’s why it’s not recommended update of the production site without staging site update.

    Regards

    Hi,

thank you so much for your answer.

I had already backed up and restored to a subdomain that our provider allows us to have.

    Thank you

    Hi,

I just wanted to say that who developed the site did not create the theme child … I do not know if to update is a problem?

Can you give me a timing to see if updates to the latest version can be done?

    Regards

    Hello,

If you don’t know if any changes were made then you may lose the changes after theme update. It’s not a big problem if the update is done at the staging site but then it would be needed to implement changes in the child theme again if you find that some functionality is gone. And we won’t be able to make these changes because additional customization is not included in our support, our support can help you only with built-in options. So, let me know if we can proceed with the update.

    Regards

    Hello,

Ok. We found that the PHP version is 5.6. Min required version to use our theme and WooCommerce plugin is 7.0. Please, update PHP version to 7.0 or better to 7.3 version to be able to use the latest version of the theme and included plugins, 5.6 is out of date version.

    Regards

    Hello,

    thank you very much.

There are some graphic things a bit changed but everything seems to be okay.

If I give you access to the official website can you do it there too or can I do it myself?

If I do it how should I proceed?

    Thanks

    Hello,

It would be better and faster if we update the production site too. Provide us with access and make sure that PHP version is up to date.

    Regards
