I have the following string in my head section and can find no way of removing it.

    <script>(function(w,i,g){w[g]=w[g]||[];if(typeof w[g].push=='function')w[g].push(i)})
    (window,'G-NW4M6WYESX','google_tags_first_party');</script><script async src="/urmb/"></script>

it is causing an error for me so could you please let me know how I can access this section. I have checked in theme file editor, I have not manually entered it.

    Thanks, Debbie

Seems the string I entered won’t upload here.

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Please note that the mentioned script is not added by the theme itself. It may come from a third-party plugin, custom code, or an external integration. We recommend checking the following:
    1. Disable all third-party plugins one by one to identify if any of them insert this script.
    2. Review the Theme Options > Custom CSS section (if available) to ensure no custom scripts are added there.
    3. Check the child theme or any custom functions added in the functions.php file for injected code.
    4. If you are using any analytics or tag management tools, verify their settings as they might automatically add this script.

Once you identify the source, you can remove or modify it accordingly.

    Best Regards,

I have already done all that. I cannot find it anywhere. No customs scripts added in functions or custom css.

I have just installed Google Tag Manager today because i was hoping it would remove any other reference to gtag but it hasn’t. Is it not possible to access the main Theme file template and remove it as it’s on all pages?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your message.

We appreciate the details you have provided. Please note that the main theme files are not recommended to be modified directly, as this may cause issues with future updates. If you would like to remove the Google Tag Manager or gtag reference, we suggest checking the Theme Options panel, Header settings, or any plugin that may be adding the script. You can also use a child theme to safely override specific files if necessary.

If you still cannot locate the source, please provide temporary wp-admin and FTP access in a private reply so that we can check the configuration and assist you further.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team

    Hi,

I don’t want to remove Google Tag Manager, I only just installed it today. It’s that particular code snippet only that I want to remove. It isn’t part of the Tag Manager but it is interfering with the way Tag Manager works. I checked the header settings but i can’t access that and I do already have a child theme.

I attach some temporary details for wp-admin & FTP.

    Thanks, Debbie

    Hello,

Disabling the WPCode Lite plugin resolves the issue, so please check your settings for this plugin or contact their support team for further assistance.

We are not the developers of this plugin, and the situation that has occurred is not related to our theme.
