    Hi,

since the new update, trying to save/publish multiple single product page templates generates an error: “unable to publish. Please try again in a few seconds”. But the error persists. We have 5 different templates to publish.
Can you please check what’s wrong?

    Please, contact administrator
    for this information.

btw, “just” saving and not publishing, results in no change in the live website. The mockup/editor keeps the changes, but on live site not visible (also not after clearing cache)

    Hello,

There is 413 error in console while sawing the options http://prntscr.com/vfzz1t
Probably it’s related to server limits. Check this article and try to increase the client_max_body_size
    https://www.keycdn.com/support/413-request-entity-too-large#:~:text=A%20413%20Request%20Entity%20Too,Request%20Entity%20Too%20Large%20response.

    Regards

Added “LimitRequestBody 999999” to my .htaccess file.
But now the multiple template editor won’t load at all anymore.

Hosted at Siteground.com, they use a service called “Nginx Direct Delivery” to serve out all of the static content for max speed. I’m told it’s unrelated to this issue, but I thought it’s still worth mentioning

    Hello,

Could you, please, contact your hosting provider to change
    <IfModule mod_substitute.c> SubstituteMaxLineLength 20M </IfModule> ?

    Regards

    I’ve changed the .htaccess file.

Unfortunately, it hasn’t fixed the issue. Problem remains because of language config. For some reason, changing the language from Dutch to English seems to fix it, but most of the times the template doesn’t load into the editor.
Hitting the Publish button also generates the same error again: https://prnt.sc/vh0dmf
(loosely translated: “It seems that something went wrong. Please wait a few seconds and try again”.

    Please advise.

Also: for future reference, when you want to change files on server please ask for access credentials to hosting environment instead of installing plugins like WP file manager.

    Please contact administrator
    for this information.

Please tell me when you think you’ll be able to troubleshoot this, and 2 other related tickets/issues.
If all else fails, we need to delete all of the multiple templates and start from scratch, which will seriously impact our timelines for going live.

    Hello,

We have checked your .htaccess file and don’t see the mentioned code http://prntscr.com/vhvarw Probably your server generates it again after some time after your changes and removes that code. Because once I added code and tried to edit the header it works for a few mins and then again it generates the error and when I check the .htaccess code is missing. So, solve this moment with your hosting provider in the server settings. We won’t be able to proceed with the issues because this one is the beginning of all the others.

In the meantime (while I’m waiting for Siteground to respond), I should ask:

The line of code you asked for us to implement, is situated between #BEGIN WORDPRESS and #END WORDPRESS.

The guidelines between “BEGIN WordPress” and “END WordPress” are generated dynamically and should only be changed via WordPress filters. Any changes to the guidelines between these marks will be overwritten.

This kind of conflicts with what we’re trying to do here. If this is the problem, where should I put those lines?

    Hello,

You may try to add the code out of that area. Then open the Theme Options and builders. If you get the same error check the .htaccess file if you still have the added code there.

    Hi Olga,

the code resides outside of the wordpress tags: https://prnt.sc/vir4d5

    Still, the problem persists: https://prnt.sc/vir32o
Similary, saving individual single product templates don’t retain the changes we’ve made. It seems they’re locked somehow.

    Please advise.
Can we perhaps escalate this? First ticket on the subject is November 6th (!) and we need to go live. Already missed our deadline with weeks

    Hello,

Could you, please, provide us with server error logs? Because we don’t understand what else could be the reason of the issue.
What does your hosting provider tell you about that 413 error http://prntscr.com/vjffu0 ?

    Regards

Not sure how these particular server logs could shed some light, but here they are.
If you need different input, please let me know. I f you need access to our Siteground hosting account, also, please let me know.

We are now past our going live deadline and need to resolve this quickly!

    for this information.

    Hello,

It would be better if you provide us with access to your cPanel. We need to check the server settings and get access to server error logs to make tests and find the reason of the issue.

    Hello,

What is the link to your cPanel?
If we use the link that you provided we get http://prntscr.com/vkx193

The login credentials from my previous reply should work
    Hosting site = http://www.siteground.com
There are 2 testing sites accessible, once logged in. You will need melanie…. etc

Navigating to: Websites, selecting the right website, site tools, you’ll find the MySQL cPanel access under Site in the left side menu

In the meantime we had to make the hard choice of deleting the multiple single product templates and start over. We now find that, after duplicating the main template, there’s a malfunction of the available objects (we cannot add customer HTML block #3, it seems to be missing, object “price” is available twice).

    —-update 11/17—
Right now, we’re moving forward with just the main template, assigning it to all products. In the backend though, we would like to continue solving the problem.

For now, please hold off for now on troubleshooting the server side of things and the database. Our developer is working on another part of the website. Let’s continue this after he’s finished (Friday)

    Please contact administrator
    for this information.

    Hello,

Ok, we’ll be able to continue once you finish. But we can’t log in to your cPnale account, always get http://prntscr.com/vllng2
So, check the pass or maybe change it and provide the correct one.

    Regards
