Trying to add text and a button to my home page

Hi. I’m trying to add text and a button to my home page. It was easy to do with the revolution slider, however I don’t need the slider feature and I kept it at one image anyway. My site runs much faster now without that terrible slider.

Therefore I am trying replicate what I did with the slider on my home page, but it’s very difficult to do with visual composer. I used the CTA element, however it is all wrong.

All I want to do is place the text wherever I want and the button wherever I want. What tools do I use to accomplish this? I’m trying to avoid most plug-ins, but I don’t know code.

Hello,

Use the button element, there are few button elements – Massive Addons and default VC. Also, don’t forget about row settings http://prntscr.com/es0bjk Adjust it according to your needs.
