    Hello,

we started producing a german translation. It works ok so far but I can’t find “Shipping and Handling” and “Cart Subtotal” within the .mo files.

Where do I need to look?

    Cheers

    Hello Robert,

We set up WPML to use .mo files.

The shop will feature four languages. As far as I can tell this would change the words for every language.

How to deal with that in a multi-language setup?

    Cheers

    Hello,

Try to use the method described in WPML documentation:
    https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/theme-localization/
Scan theme for strings and then translate string via String Translation https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/ .

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hello Eva,

thanks for your post! We will look into this. Hopefully it will work out. I’ll post again to let you know how things worked out.

Our translators need to get used to Poedit. That’s a requirement. But why are those specific strings excluded? It would be easier to manage all the translation strings at one place.

Is there something special about those two strings?

    Cheers

    Hello,

Actually those strings are present in wp-content/themes/legenda/languages/default.po file. Are you using the latest theme version?

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hello Eva,

we didn’t install the update from 26th of June yet. We are using the version before that.

Did the language file structure change during this last update?

We use the .mo files in German language that are part of the legenda package.

    Cheers

    Hello,

Translation files were updated in the theme update, so please update the theme and Woocommerce as well.
Before update delete “woocommerce” folder in the directory wp-content/themes/legenda/ and it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package.
Also update all required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ .

Don’t forget to create back up of your files and database before starting update process!

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

    Hello,

You need update the theme and then update translation files clicking “from source” button when you edit via poedit. Then translate needed text.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.
