    Dear developers,

I unfortunately can not translate the theme in german language, probably because of corrupted .pot / mo-files in the theme folder(wp-content/themes/idstore/languages/) I did use poedit and also tried the loco-translate plugin.

    Could You please help me?

    Best regards,
    Andrei

    Hello,

You didn’t translate default.po file in /wp-content/themes/idstore_theme_v.3.5/idstore/languages directory.
Please read our documentation how to translate the theme:
    https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/idstore/index.html#!/how_to_translate

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hello,

I did this several times without any success.

I have now edited the default.pot with poedit and created a german translation de_De.po. I translated some strings, such as “my cart”, “sizing guide”, “related products” and so on. But they are not showing on the frontend

    Please help!

    Best regards,
    Andrei

    Hello,

There should be both a .po and .mo files generated for your translation. But there is no .mo file.
    Have you read this instruction?
    http://betterwp.net/wordpress-tips/create-pot-file-using-poedit./

    Thank you.

    Dear Eva,

that’s the problem! The .mo-file is not being generated. I tried it also with the loco-translate plugin for wordpress.

Does is it mean there is a problem with the default.pot file? Could You please check it?

    Kind regards,
    Andrei

    Hello,

Please update the theme to the latest version and try to create .po files after that:

    Hello, Eva

I’ve tried this already. I downloaded the updated theme from envato and edited default.pot of the idstore 3.6. Unfortunately without result, the .mo-file is not being created.

    What shall I do now?

    Kind regards,
    Andrei

    Hello Eva,

I’ve just downloaded the latest package and could generate both the .po and .mo-file. I’ve uploaded them in to the the /idstore/languages/ folder but still can not see any german translation on frontend.

    I’ve also set $locale=’de_DE’;

What is the problem now? Do You have any ideas?

    Best regards,
    Andrei

Strange thing is that the russian translation works…

I think, I have found a workaround. I’ve made the de_CH translation (Switzerland) and set
    $locale=’de_CH’

    now it works.
