    Hi guys

I have recently updated all wpml plugins on site to last versions.

SInce then some of the translated strings have returned to appearing in english

I have started support ticket with wpml ( please see for full details of issue https://wpml.org/forums/topic/hi-after-updates-some-strings-have-lost-translations-in-the-header/#post-943788 )

and they told to check with twenty fourteen theme. when activating the 2014 theme the strings returned to appear properly translated. So i Guess its an interaction between the updated wpml plugins and the woopress child theme.

please assist to solve this problem

(you can find full details and screenshots in the wpml ticket above)

    Thanks

    Hello,

As I see some strings aren’t translated http://prntscr.com/bp4ziz in String Translation.
Check the strings for “woopress” domain.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hello,

I know you’re using child theme. Strings are present in Woopress theme, so please translate “woopress” domain strings as well.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hi Eva

The issue occured in the last wpml plugins updates.

Before the updates the strings appeared translated properly in the website. This while only the the “default” domain strings were translated in WPML string translation.
So if prior to updates the strings were translated without translating the “woopress” domain why would i need to do that now ? and also if i did that would the translation not disappear everytime i updated the theme?
also if you surf to mabellek.com as not logged in you will see the the string “sign in”
when searching for this string in The wpml string translation plugin all the results appear translated and the “woopress” domain does not appear.

    thanks

    Thanks

    Hello,

As I see “Sign In” string isn’t translated http://prntscr.com/bqa8c4.
As the theme uses “woopress” text domain you need translate its strings. So please do this.

The changes won’t be lost after theme update.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hi Eva

I cannot same to replicate the search results you sent in the screen shot.

The string sign does appear under the woopress domain.

I have just scanned the theme for strings in the localization and still the search does not bring up the string sign under the woopress domain so i cannot translate this string

    Hi Eva

I am now working on production site and not staging. So I still cant find the string “sign in” for woopress domain in string translation but I have already made many changes and translations which I would lose if I copy staging to live site.

The credentials above should also give you access to the live site at mabellek.com

    thanks
