Saw a load of the woocommerce things were outdated, advised to update the theme as woocommerce wouldn’t do it itself (does it even do this? or is that dictacted by the legenda theme when they put out a release) – anyway, short story is, yes it managed to fix some of the ‘errors’ showing on
woocommerce > system status > template
I did this by doing it via the tutorial, and replacing the ‘legenda’ file and overwriting,
but I’ve still got two with errors on this part,
legenda/woocommerce/checkout/form-pay.php version 2.4.7 is out of date. The core version is 2.5.0,
legenda/woocommerce/myaccount/my-orders.php version 2.3.10 is out of date. The core version is 2.5.0,
I’ve also got the error
My Account: Page does not contain the shortcode: [woocommerce_my_account]
Even though it does contain such, since the update.
any support?

Hello,
I’ve recreated “My Account” page. Please check it now.
You shouldn’t worry about “outdated files” notices. They won’t affect your site at all. We edited Woocommerce files in wp-content/themes/legenda/woocommerce directory and old version may be written in those files. But, please don’t worry, as the original version is written in wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/templates directory.
So you can hide this message or you can fix it by editing the files in wp-content/themes/legenda/woocommerce directory and change the version to the current Woocommerce version that you’re using.

Eva Kemp.
Thanks, am i the only one with those outdated files issue?
Also, I’m a bit confused, can you confirm that am I using a ‘child theme’ – as in my previous message, when I update in the future, when im using multivendor, and update the ‘parent’ theme, that none of my ‘vendors’ items will be moved / lost etc?
Thank you
Hello,
You’re using parent theme Legenda. You can check it in Appearance > Themes.
Have you edited original theme files?

Eva Kemp.
With what I have / I am using, I am a novice, does it matter if im using the parent theme? I’m a bit confused as to what I have been advised, I got advised to ‘use a child theme’
Can you give me some insight on the above as its a bit confusing for me.
When I have vendors on my site, with what I have, ‘parent theme’ will their stuff be changed / lost when the theme gets updated etc again?
I don’t believe the theme has been changed do you mean the css code? I don’t believe so no. Just drag and drop from whats on there and what not. Can you check it for me that stuff will be okay and not be lost when I have vendors on the site, as im now totally confused.
Also there was just another woocommerce update, so another error bit showing, should I ignore those 3 errors on the system status on woocommerce in future?
Hello,
You won’t lose your content after theme update. But we always recommend to create site backup before each update (even if you update plugins).
As I told you in the previous post “You shouldn’t worry about “outdated files” notices. They won’t affect your site at all.”

Eva Kemp.
