    Hello, @maccandy,

    Sorry for the delay.
Please check https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/classico/ (1.1. Classico Theme Requirements)
Also, you can export theme settings in Theme Options > Import/Export > Options > Export Options, then activate default theme, rename classico folder via FTP and upload new theme archive in wp-admin > themes and enter your purchase code to activate the theme, then import your theme options and maybe re-add your widgets in Appearance > Widgets.

    Regards,
    Rose Tyler.

    hello rose,

thanks for the howto guide to update the theme.
i updated as you explained, but now i have the same problems with for example too large buttons like in old versions of the theme. these problems i solved with an child theme, but in the new theme package, i couldn’t find the child theme of the 1.8 version to use with my modifications. where will i find it, in the documentation of the theme, you wrote “…included child theme in theme package”.

    thx for your help

    Hello,

You need activate your existing child theme after main theme update, because you have only one child theme for all main theme versions.
Please note that was big woocommerce update, so many elements in the plugin and our theme functionality were changed. So you may need to edit your changes in the child theme to proper work with new versions.

    Regards,
    Rose Tyler.

    Hello,

You can enable debug mode (wp-config.php > http://prntscr.com/fgitvo) and check errors. I’ve added 2 new functions from theme-functions.php of the new theme version into the child and you can activate child theme now.

As I see, you copied theme-functions.php into /classico-child/framework/ folder and made changes there. But it isn’t right way if you need to change some functions from theme-functions.php, you need to change it in functions.php of your child theme and rewrite only needed function, not file completely.

So you need check all the changes you’ve made in the child theme. Sorry, but we can’t know what exactly you modified there.

    Regards,
    Rose Tyler.
