I’m getting a similar error message that I’ve seen some other users have seen when upgrading the theme.
Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in wp-content/themes/legenda/framework/shortcodes.php on
line 155
While I’ve seen that other people have seen the same error, I’ve been unable to find the solution. It looks like they got help directly. I’m going to add my FTP info privately below in case it’s helpful here too.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Hello,
Please check it now.

Robert Hall.
Unfortunately, i’m still having the same issue.
Currently the newest theme (2.10.0) is not active on my site. I have the files in a separate folder called legenda 2.10.0. I just tried it again, but when I renamed it to legenda, (and renamed the old theme folder to legenda-old), the site works, but when I try to login to the backend, that’s when I see the error message.
Thanks!
Hello,
I’ve reuploaded files for the newest theme version and renamed theme folder from legenda 2.10.0 to legenda. Please check your site now.

Thanks, I’m no longer seeing the error message. However, I’m still seeing the Dashboard warning from WooCommerce that says:
“Your theme (LEGENDA – 8theme WordPress theme Child) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files.”
I thought that message would go away when I updated the theme.
How can I be certain that it’s properly loading the updated theme? Do I need to make a change to the child theme? I didn’t think so, but when I view the theme options, it says I’m using version 1.0.1427520903.
I’m adding my login inf below, in case it’s helpful.
Thanks!!
Hello inkyj,
our theme uses modified Woocommerce template files so this notification “Your theme (LEGENDA – 8theme WordPress theme Child) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files.” is normal. It is not bug and does not affect front-end. You may just skip it.
Regards,
Stan Russell.
ok awesome, thanks for the info!!
