Theme Update from ver 4.28.1 to 5.0.3 via Envato Market plugin

Hello,
I am receiving a notification on admin side that i can update my theme by clicking the button. I have Envato Market Plugin installed and that is way i am getting these update notification.

Can i just click and update through it or I have to delete and upload again through FTP.

Thanks for contacting us.
I would recommend you to do the update from 4.28.1 to 5.0.3 via FTP https://youtu.be/I7wPeHEPb6E
XStore 5.0 is major update and we have changed a lot of things https://xstore.8theme.com/update-history/ including theme styles. Also, if you use child theme then child theme files should be updated according to new files. To update the theme you can create a staging site (a full copy of live site) and update xstore there. Then, if everything is ok, update the production site.
If you want we can help you with the update. Confirm that you made a full backup and provide temporary wp-admin and FTP access.

Hello,

We have updated theme but you have some files in child theme and you need to update them according to changes in new theme version. I have commented out js file because it caused the error. So, proceed with the update of the child theme.

Hello,

Contact your developer or compare the old files with the new one if you have the necessary skills. We warned you about child theme update in the very first message and recommended to try the update on the staging site before update production.

Ok no problem. I will contact them. But after update there is no sale label showing up on custom pages
