Theme options editing only on frontpage - by Starson

Hi
Is it really true that i only can edit the frontpage when i use the theme options editor. If I switch to any other page, from within the theme options i just get a blank page, or click theme options from the frontend, I get redirected to the home page? This can’t be true..

Hello,

Theme Options adjust global options of theme, it’s not options for every separate page. That’s why you are redirected to main site url while opening theme options. But if you click on WooCommerce > Product catalog section for example you’ll be redirected to shop page to see your changes on the shop page. Do you have issues with this redirect?

Could you provide us with temporary WP Dashboard access?

Thanks for the fast reply:-)
I guess I was just used to the x theme, where everything is integrated
in one whole. . Now I have to jump around a lot, between themeoptions,
elementor and what not, but thats apprently just the way it is…

Regarding working with CSS, is very tiresome, as if you make a change,
you can only view the frontpage, which goes white/blank after changes
Then you have to leave the frontpage to another page, to see if the
changes have had an effect and go back to the frontpage and change
again. I guess there’s no easy solutions here.

I do though believe you are trying hard to make a good site for us, and
many things are working okay, especially with some css:-) – so thanks
anyway.

Hello,

Could you, please, tell me what settings do you edit that you need to go to another page? Maybe provide screenshot or short video using Gyazo gif tool for better understanding. Because I don’t have a blank page while editing options using the customizer. Could you, please, provide us with temporary WP Dashboard access to check?

Hi again
I do a lot of CSS work, to get things working properly… How do I see the css changes in effect, if the only place I can edit css is the frontpage?

Hello,

You should be able to click on link from the menu or footer links etc and you’ll be redirected to that page https://gyazo.com/cb49b94d227b2bf9945ed15884308639 and you’ll be able to see changes you do.
