Theme design is lost? - by OliverO - on WordPress WooCommerce support

I edited theme for our store but now all those changes are lost.

I think somehow woocommerce settings have some connection with this.
WooCommerce wanted to edit my site info(i personlize site. added custom homepage, site title and logo) now all those demo designs are lost.
Can u help me?

Hello,

Have you worked with the child theme all time or activated it just before the problem occur?
Do you have this problem when parent theme is activated?
Do you have a backup on your server?

I imported “Niche Market” Theme and created Child theme. It activated automaticly and made simple edits with it. I always use Child theme for editing.

When i change to parent theme that design still remains.
No i dont have backup on server.

Mostly i want to use “Niche market” page layouts. Do i have to import it again or you have any other solution to recover those layouts?

Hello,

I’ve imported Theme Options from the mentioned demo on your site. You can go and change them depends on your needs now.
Also, I would recommend you to set up regular backups, just in case.

I have encountered this situation three times before, the changes all lost and the theme option designs totally went off. Not sure why it happened. Could it be due to the cache plugin? I am using W3TC

Hello,

No, that could not be caused by the cache plugin. Theme Options save in the DataBase, so you can lose them only if the DB table was reset or if you switch between child theme and parent theme. Anyway, we would recommend you to set up the regular backups of the whole site and DB or make backups of theme options at least (Theme Options > Import/Export > download the Export file to safe place to import it if you face the mentioned issue again).
