Theme Deleted Homepage Elements & Footer

The theme deletes some homepage elements and footer and I don’t understand why and want to ensure it does not happen again. I have since replaced them, but want to ensure this does not happen again…

Also, I am not able to add social media icon/links to my footer anymore (through widgets) it’s no longer an option.

Please advise – wp, theme, plugins all upto date.

Hello,

Theme can’t delete the content of the page/post/project. Some elements could be disabled if you updated XStore core plugin to latest version but did not update theme to the required version. Footer may disappear if widgets were removed by the user or moved to unused widgets area if you switch theme.

Don’t you have the 8theme Social widgtet in the list of widgets?
What version of theme and what version of the XStore core plugin do you use?
