The site is running super slow. When I try and “Update” a page after editing it, I get this error message: “Connection lost. Saving has been disabled until you’re reconnected.”

    I can’t save any pages!

Switching the theme causes this error to go away.

Switching off the page builder causes this error to go away.

I’ve contacted WPBakery about this (I went and purchased a license just so I could speak with support) and they are claiming it is a theme issue. What can be done, this is a huge problem?

    Hello,

Can you, please, provide server error logs and also FTP access? We’ll check if issue is related to our theme. Because it looks like the server problem.

    Regards

    Hello,

We have enabled default WooCommerce theme Storefront and see the same situation https://gyazo.com/21024ae65dbe1c5a96e6728a7c8a1114 . I suppose it’s because of your server/hosting. Contact your hosting provider to solve the problem.

    Regards

Alright, I updated us to a VPS so that error is going away. But we still have some kind of conflict between the WooPress Theme and the WPBakery PageBuilder. It also looks like its effecting other items too, like the tabs and WooCommerce.

You can see the sections/tabs are missing in this screenshot:
    https://empirelubeequipment.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/unnamed.png

    They’re blocked off in ‘red’

And then when I go to “Edit Page”, I don’t see any content for the page and the WPBakery Page Builder is not activating.

When I switch away from WooPress, this issue goes away. What’s going on here?

    Hello,

We don’t see any tab or categories widget in the page content http://prntscr.com/jip48e
The same situation when default theme is enabled https://gyazo.com/0bb352b8ff4837f49312a8856208c1c
You did not add that content that’s why you don’t see it.

Yes, the tabs should be there. Somehow they disappeared. You can see them in this recent version of the page in the Internet Archive: https://web.archive.org/web/20180423114206/https://empirelubeequipment.com

I am also encountering an error in that I cannot edit text with the pagebuilder. The text editor just sits there and never loads… and then its throws this message again about being “Connection lost…”:

    Hello,

    1) Check the revisions and maybe you’ll be able to get your tabs and categories back. Or just add them again.
    2) Contact your hosting provider to solve the problem with the connection. If the problem appears even with the default theme we can do nothing.

Alright – so I’ve gotten deeper into this. The “ConnectioN” issue is resolved.

The new issue appears to be a relationship between the WooPress Theme, WPBakery PageBuilder, and the Ultimate Add-Ons for WPBakery PageBuilder plugin.

When the Ultimate Adds-Ons is enabled, it makes it so I can’t use the backend editor. If I disable the Add-Ons, then I can use the PageBuilder but it automatically erases all the elements that involved the Add-Ons.

What can I do about this?

    Hello,

Query Monitor Plugin causes issue with Backend editor. Contact plugin author to solve the problem.

    Regards
