    Hi there,

I’m having a problem with the products star ratings.

    Screenshots: https://ibb.co/dBGcje

Before clicked: the page has a number of tabs including the “Reviews Tab” in the description area.

After clicking: All the tabs and content are gone (including the “Reviews tab”)

I’m just wondering if there is anything I have done wrong? How can I make the star ratings link jumping to the “Reviews Tab” on the page?

    Kind Regards
    Graham

    UPDATE:

I do have just noticed that in Customize > E-Commerce > Single Product Page, the reviews position can be either changed to “Tabs” or “Next to Tabs”.

However, the default styling is messy and I have created a review form myself under the “Reviews” Tab, is it possible to point the “Star ratings” (when clicking on it) to the “Reviews” tab I created?

    Thanks very much
    Kind Regards
    Graham

    Hello,

Unfortunately, if you use custom reviews tab as the part of the description there is no way to get scroll to it because that tab has autogenerated anchor http://prntscr.com/krarz9 as this is WPBakery element and it’s not the default tab. 1) Reviews tab should have the regular id to allow the script to scroll to it. 2) You should create script that will scroll to your custom tab with regular content once you click on reviews link.

After clicking: All the tabs and content are gone (including the “Reviews tab”)

It’s because you have hidden real tabs titles and create Reviews tab as custom tab using the WPBakery element that is added into first description tab. So once you click on real reviews tab the description tab content is hidden and real reviews tab content is shown.

We have added custom to change style if the real reviews tab content if you choose after the tabs reviews position. But we found bug that it does not scroll to reviews but to tabs only when you click on reviews link. So, provide me FTP access to your site to fix this issue if you decide to show reviews below the tabs.

    Regards

    Hi Olga,

Thanks for your patience, Actually I do really would like to have the “Star Reviews link” scrolling to the “Reviews Tab” I created rather than displaying at the bottom (i.e. setting: after the tabs).

I have just checked again and found this section ID can be manually changed in the backend editor:

Do you think it will work if I change the section ID to the “Regular ID” you’ve mentioned?
    Looking forward to your reply.

(I have attached the FTP Credentials in the private section.)
    Thanks and Regards

    Hello,

You can try if you have JS skills and add the script in your child theme that will scroll to that id once you click on reviews link.

Thank you for letting me know how to do it,

I’ll figure it out with a freelancer developer. 🙂
