The “Main Menu” has disappereared from my website. I also no longer see the option to edit it under Appearances, Menu. The items from the “All Departments” menu are now showing where the “Main Menu” was. Before this occurred I had removed a link to a page for “Gift Ideas” on the Menu and when I refreshed the page the Main Menu was no longer showing.

    Hello @Sherine,

It appears that someone with access to your website has removed the main menu. When the main menu is removed, the Nav menu widget in the header automatically loads the next available menu, which in your case is the one used for “All Departments.”

We have not made any changes to your website from our side. Therefore, we recommend that you contact your hosting provider to either restore a backup that includes the original menu previously shown in your header or you can create a new menu and assign it to the header’s Nav menu widget.

I restored the website from a previous backup and the Main Menu is now showing.

For future reference, how can I recreate the Main Menu?

    Hello @Sherine,

We are pleased to hear that you have resolved the menu issue. If you would like to create a new menu, please follow these steps:

    1. Visit your Dashboard.
    2. Navigate to Appearance → Menus*
    3. Click “Create a new menu”, and assign a name to your menu.
    4. Add the menu items (pages, custom links, categories, etc.)
    5. Click the “Create Menu” button at the bottom of menu items section.

To display this menu in your header, open the Header template by going to Dashboard → XStore Builders → Header Builder → Go to Builder (Elementor). You can then either add a new “Nav Menu” widget or edit the existing one to select your preferred menu.
