The filter results are not being applied based on the keyword

    Hi,

    We noticed that the filter results are not being applied based on the search keyword.
    For example, if you search for “glas” and then click on “View all results” (“Δείτε όλα τα αποτελέσματα”), all products are returned.

    1/ To assist you more effectively, we kindly request that you record a video demonstrating the issue and the steps leading to it. This will help us better understand and replicate the problem on our end.
    Upload the video on a filesharing service, for example – https://fex.net/ , and provide us with the URL.

    2/ It is possible that the cause of this is related to cached data.

    We kindly recommend clearing the cache after making changes to products and categories. This includes clearing WooCommerce-related caches, which can be found in the following section:

    WooCommerce > Status > Tools

    Please ensure you clear the following fields:
    – WooCommerce transients
    – Expired transients
    – Term counts
    – Brands transients

    Hi,

    We cleared all the recommended caches, though the problem has not been resolved.

    In the private content area, you can find a video demonstrating the issue. As you can see, regardless of the keyword, the results remain the same.

    1/ We recommend that you disable all third-party plugins that are not included with XStore (https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/plugins/included-plugins/). After doing so, please clear your browser’s cache and check again. It is possible that one of these additional plugins is causing the issue.

    2/ We recommend trying to build a custom search results template: https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/xstore-builders/xstore-search-results-page-builder-with-elementor/.

    Hi,

    Unfortunately, after applying your suggestions, the problem still persists.

    On the custom search results page, we’re using a Search & Filter query, so we’ve also reached out to their support team.

    Is there any setting in the theme that could be affecting the search results?

    Hello,

    Could you please provide temporary wp-admin and FTP access? We will check what can be done to help you.
    To grant WP-Admin access, please proceed to create a new user account with an administrator role through your WordPress Dashboard. Once the account is established, you may securely transmit the username and password to us via the Private Content section designated for this purpose.

    For FTP access, we require the following details: FTP host, FTP username, FTP password, FTP port, and FTP encryption type. If you need assistance in creating these credentials, please reach out to your hosting provider who will guide you through the process.

    We tried to display the search results using the theme’s Archive Products widget, but the layout seems to be broken.

    Hi,

    We do not see any changes. The archive products layout in the search results template still looks broken.

    Please check the video provided via the link in the private content area. You can see that the grid archive products layout appears broken, while the list layout works fine.

    Apart from that, when navigating from the Shop menu to any of the product categories, instead of showing only the products contained in the selected category, it displays all available products.

    Could this be related to the theme? Please advise.

    Dear Andrew,

    Unfortunately, we don’t see any improvement. The issue remains the same, as shown in the video provided in the private content area.

    We also tested using 2 clean browsers and cleared the website cache.

    Hi,

    In the attached videos, you are on a different domain from the one we granted you access to, in order to review the situation. Please check the private content area for details regarding the domains.

    On the domain shown in the attached videos, we have replaced the grid/list layout option from the theme settings with a list-only layout, but the grid view still appears to be broken.

    Additionally, when you try to display 24 or more products instead of 12, using the dropdown field at the top right of the page, it does not work.

    In the attached video you can find in the private content area, you can see that on the domain we granted you access to, the grid view is broken, and switching to the list view functions correctly.

    Hello,

    As far as we can see, there is no grid/list switcher on our test website. Also, your staging site does not have the switcher for the number of products. Could you please check if they were accidentally disabled?

    We don’t see any difference — the grid layout is still broken.
    We’ll hide the grid layout option in the theme settings and display the results as a list by default through the theme settings.
