    Hi folks.

Okay so I get this error when I try to edit the DESCRIPTION area (not the SHORT DESCRIPTION) via Elementor in my theme when on the Single Product Page. Error is..

    You must call
the_content function in the current template, in order for Elementor to work on this page

    https://elementor.com/help/the-content-area-was-not-found-error/

I like the Single Product Page Builder in Xstore – and so don’t really want to change that page outside of the Xstore theme which I guess I could re-create a new one within Elementor Pro’s theme builder tool/feature. If I did this then problem solved I think but I dont want to do that.

However, I just want to be able to insert an Elementor Template into the DESCRIPTION area of the Single Product Page – and have that then render the templates content in the additional description area of the Single Product Page.

WHY? I have groups of products that each will share some additional information to show features of a product. These bits of information would be printed into the DESCRIPTION area of the Single Product Page – and thus mean that if I wanted to alter lots of content in a product page – I can change the SAVED TEMPLATE once and have that reflect in all products it appears.

Hope that’s clear, I am just trying to work with this in the most efficient way.

What is interesting is that I can work around this by using the Elementor Template Shortcode and pasting that in the Description box – The issue here is it is harder to keep track on Shortcodes – whereas if I am in a Single Product Page and wanted to click the EDIT WITH ELEMEMTOR button, it would open up the content for me to alter directly in that page – rather than having to go into a totally separate section of the site to access the editing function of the template.

    Hello,

Did you enable Elementor for products in the Elementor settings https://prnt.sc/103tu6g
Are you trying to edit the product description from the product page https://prnt.sc/103tw3e

    Hi there,

Yes thats correct, I have enabled that.

I am trying to use the EDIT WITH ELEMENTOR button in the main content area and when I do that I get that error.

I am trying to use a template in that area so that I can use templates to control content in that part across multiple products so I can edit once in the template and it reflects on all products.

    Hello,

Could you, please, go to Appearance > Themes > install and activate Storefront theme and check if you have the same issue when the Storefront theme is activated? Switch back to XStore once you check.
Let me know about the results.

    Regards
