When I type in the VC text block everything seems to look ok and the way I want it to.
I hit save changes and still all looks good in the backend.
But when I click to update the page and make the changes live, it double or triple spaces all my text within the text block.
It makes it look crazy, every line ends up about an inch away from the next when you look at it on the front end.

How do I get it to just stay the way I made it?

Ok, I am attaching it below.

Just so you know. Due to the fact that VC does not let you mess around with the text within the text blocks, I used headings. It was the only way the text would even be visible on my site.

That said if you look in the section named “free bonuses too” I used headings and somehow did not have this problem. Yet when I did the same in the “donate a board” it double spaced everything.

And when I did it in the section “awesome stuff” it double spaced everything, even though if you notice what I did was just duplicate the “free bonuses too” section (one of my attempts to get it to work).

In the “awesome stuff” section I did the text section in just the first “feature” and not the rest because it just kept doing this, so you’ll see that the text is the same on the other features as the “bonuses” section.

Let me know how you end up fixing this too, just in case I run into it in another section later as I continue to build out the site.

    Thanks

    Hello,

Did you delete the file woopress/vc_templates/vc_row.php as mentioned in our theme version description http://storage5.static.itmages.com/i/15/1012/h_1444660517_4157595_c6e32e41be.png ?
Please delete it and check VC editor after that.

Also provide us with FTP credentials.

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hey Eva,

No, I did not delete that. I have absolutely no idea where to find that file. I did update to the new version when that update came out though.

Why would that not just be a part of that update?

If you tell me where to find it maybe I can delete it.

As for ftp credentials, Im assuming you mean access to my cpanel?

If so I am attaching it here. If not, Im not sure how to get that for you.

    Thanks

Ok, so now I did that, and all my images from the “single image” blocks are gone.

It also wont let me edit any of the boxes text or image, and it wont let me add any either.

Both VC and VC add-on installed fine though. Just now they wont work at all.

    Hello,

I’ve updated Revolution Slider and Master Slider plugins and now editor is working.
Please clear browser cache and check.

Concerning the spaces in Text elements, I’ve checked it with default WordPress theme and the same issue persists there too.
So it’s related to Visual Composer plugin, not to the theme.
We recommend you to contact VC authors via comments section http://codecanyon.net/item/visual-composer-page-builder-for-wordpress/242431/comments and ask about this problem.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hey Eva,

I did as you asked and contacted VC thru the link you provided and this was their response:

Hello, the problem could raise from integration issue between VC and theme. I would recommend discuss it with your theme author on how to solve it and if necessary theme author can contact us so we can work together to help you out.

Im not sure if they just prefer to deal with you directly instead of me. Maybe because I didnt buy it directly from them but, they just sent me what seems like a canned response.

Please let me know how you want to handle this.

I just need this resolved I dont really mind dealing with them my self, but I think maybe they prefer to deal with you, either way its fine by me too if its what they want.

    Hey Eva,

Im not sure if you guys are working on my site but…

I just went into the backend of the page we’ve been discussing and all my VC elements are gone!

The content seems to be there, but all the VC blocks have disappeared and all thats there is a bunch of coding in its place.

Is that something you guys are trying to resolve the issue mentioned here? Or is this something new altogether?

    Thanks

    Hello,

Please open text editor, in Tools section click “Source Code” and you’ll see the code of your text content:
    http://storage4.static.itmages.com/i/15/1013/h_1444751743_8363477_c7c711b71f.png
As you can see empty <p> tags are added and they are causing space issue. Try to delete all of them and check Text blocks after that.

    Eva Kemp.

    Hey Eva,

    Thanks for the response!

So I did what you suggested. Same issue.

It fixes the spacing and lets me save the changes, but as soon as I update the page to make the changes live… It double spaces them right back.

    What else can we try?

    Hey,

Im not sure what to try next here. This is an extremely frustrating issue that all efforts have had no affect on.

I read thru some of the comments mentioned in the VC plugin thread, and those guys seem to not be very helpful at all. And their immediate response is always this canned reply telling people to deal with their theme developer.

Its possible that because Im not their direct customer, they just dont want to deal with me. If thats the case then maybe they will respond better to you.

I really need to resolve this issue.

I dont understand how I can be the only person that this has ever happened to.

Please help. My site is at a complete stand still over this.

Do you suggest that I should look for a new theme?

    Thanks

    Hello,

We’ve created a test page http://hummingbord.com/17305-2/ . As you can see there is no space. Seems like your page has errors in the code. We recommend you to recreate it.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hey,

Im going to give it a try.

But this will take longer to test because there is alot of content on that page that now need to be re-created.

Also if you look at that page, the content towards the bottom did not have the spacing issue. It wasnt until I got to the top of the page that this started to happen. So while Im hoping youre right and its just an issue with that particular page, I may not know until there is a significant amount of content on the new page if this may occur again.

I am of course going to do it, but I must mention that this is hours of work down the drain. And hours more to re-do on a new page. Its very unfortunate that you guys cant seem to find the actual source of the problem, so this page can work.

Thanks though, I will keep you informed with the result of this test.

    Hey,

This is seriously the most ridiculous thing ive ever seen!!!

I just built a page entirely from scratch.

Added all the content, and created everything from the bottom of the page all the way working my way towards the top.

Everything was going fine until I added my main video to the page. I added a new row, insert a text block, and insert the video into it as html.

The second I hit save the whole site goes haywire!!!!

The double and triple spacing occurs and other videos that arent even in the same row or section just vanish into thin air!!!!

I go back and fix the text blocks from the spacing issues, it lets me save save them correctly, I re-add the disappearing videos, and it lets me do it all, no problem.

The second I hit update it goes haywire again and it does all the same crap again!!!!

I delete the main video. Delete the main video row. And adjust all the same things I just did before. And hit update and all seems to be fine.

So are you trying to tell me that the problem is in adding a full sized video to the page??

How in the world is that affecting the rest of the page??

How does that cause double and triple spacing??

How does that make other content namely other videos just vanish like they werent even there??

How can I possibly be the only person that this has happened to??

Do you have any idea the amount of time this has robbed from me!?!?!

    This is hours of work!!!

And more time to repair and test, and re-do over and over!

On top of it you guys are on a different time zone from me and respond only once per day, and all your suggestions have been for me to try something that eventually doesnt work, and days have been lost on that process as well!

I have given you access to the site, for you to try and repair this on your end, but instead you look at it and tell ME to try your suggestions! Im sure you havent tried it because when I do it doesnt work! And if you did try it and it didnt work for you… why would it work when I try it?!?!?

    I need a solution.

Not a suggestion, not a try this, or try that. I need you to fix it.

Ive worked with you on this and have done everything you asked, Ive tried all these things myself. At this point I just want you to fix this problem yourself. It is obviously something that is wrong with the theme!! And I cant fix it myself. Its time for you guys to step up and take ownership of this flaw in your theme.

This is just crazy! I didnt get this theme for free! I paid for it, and it has a major glitch that needs to be addressed.

If you want to step it up we can even do a skype where I will show you with screen share exactly what its doing. I really dont want to continue this back and forth with you guys that will take days and maybe result in nothing like it has so far. I just need this taken care of.

    Hey,

Thanks for your reply. Here is the code for the video:

    <script charset=”ISO-8859-1″ src=”//fast.wistia.com/assets/external/E-v1.js” async></script><div class=”wistia_responsive_padding” style=”padding:56.25% 0 0 0;position:relative;”><div class=”wistia_responsive_wrapper” style=”height:100%;left:0;position:absolute;top:0;width:100%;”><div class=”wistia_embed wistia_async_luom8hcd3a videoFoam=true” style=”height:100%;width:100%”> </div></div></div>

    or

    <script charset=”ISO-8859-1″ src=”//fast.wistia.com/assets/external/E-v1.js” async></script><div class=”wistia_embed wistia_async_luom8hcd3a” style=”height:720px;width:1280px”> </div>

I would prefer the top one because its the auto-responsive, but either is fine.

This is a wistia video, but I had the same issues with the last page and that one had been using a youtube video. If its completely necessary I can use youtube if you can get it to work properly with that instead, but would prefer to use the wistia video.

Its supposed to go inside the text block that is in the row with the row id: home-page-videos.

    Thank you,

    Juan

    PS.

Here is the time difference that I mentioned, where you are its now past 2pm, which means if this doesnt get resolved in the next 3 hours or so… Im stuck for another whole day, and this could end up taking all week because of it.
