    Hi,

i would like to add testimonials on my shop. Just this one included in Visual Composer by 8theme. When I try add it by VC, I found [8theme]testimonial module. There are some parametrs and last one is called Category (display Testimonials from category). But at WP Dashboard there aren’t any Testimional section. I don’t know where I should create Category and each testimonial. In private content are login and password. I will be pleased if You could help me 🙂

    Please, contact administrator
    for this information.

    Hello,

Be sure that you activated Post types plugin and turned on Testimonials in Theme Options firstly.

    Hi,

could you be more specific where I should look to activate “Post types”. I checked at Theme ->Install plugins and there are just at ALL section: 360 smart view, Compare, Contact form7, Google map, Mailchimp, Wishlist, Woocommerce Amazon. This ones are not activated and not used now.

At 8Theme Options i couldn’t find any of “Post Types”.
    At WP Plugins aswell, nothing.

I’ve just updated et-core-plugin, but nothing happened. I’ve notice that inside folder et-core-plugin/inc on server, there is folder Testimonials, but it doesn’t install itself. And there is as well ‘post-types.php’ file.
I have to put Testimonial folder manually to ‘wp-content/plugins’ and then activate.

Could you log into my dashboard and check it why I can’t find ‘Post types’. Login details at first post of this topic.
    Thank you very much.

    Hi,

Sorry, we meant Core Plugin that includes all post types. And you have it installed. All you need to do is to update our theme to the latest version available on themeforest.

    Hi,

is there some easy way to do it or I’ve to download it from themeforest? Next I should at WP dashboard->Themes->add new from file ? Does all current settings will be saved or I’ll have to setup updated theme from scratch?

    Hello,

Follow theme documentation and use FTP method http://xstore.helpscoutdocs.com/article/63-theme-update

After theme update you should skip Setup Wizard and go to Theme Options to activate theme using your purchase code.

Don’t forget to backup your files, DB and theme options before update! To backup theme options go to Theme Options > Import/Export > download .json file. You’ll be able to use the code from this file to restore the options if such happens and you lose them after update.

    Regards
