Is there a way to have Subscripto add a box for a subscription for the product vs its current setting to change just the “add to cart button” to “subscription”
Essentially the user should choose subscription or add to cart.

Hello,
As we know there is no such option. But you may leave the feature request to plugin authors in the comments section https://codecanyon.net/item/subscriptio-woocommerce-subscriptions/8754068 and maybe they will try to implement such option in one of the next updates.
We are not plugin developers, so we can’t improve it.
