Styling of Typography theme not same as demo

Hi
I’ve installed the Typography demo and have just noticed that the single blog post styling on the featured image of a blog post is not the same on my version as the one in the demo. When I look at the source code I can see different css elements that appear to be missing in my version.
I had assumed that all of the css elements that was required would be included when the demo is installed.
What and where should I add the css elements required to put the border around the featured image and animate it.

Although I will say that I have used several premium wordpress themes in the past and this is the most confusing theme I have ever used in terms of defining the styling, and there is so little documentation to look at to try and resolve it myself. Thank goodness you guys are there for support!
