Styling/Colours Change not Working since Last Update

Since the previous theme update 7.2.6, I have been unable to save my settings in styling/colours. The settings shown in there are the same as they always have been but they no longer display correctly on the live site. I had hoped that the latest update would have corrected it but it has not.

When I queried this after the 7.2.6 update, someone changed these settings on my staging site to display in pink but the buttons changed to square (instead of rounded corners) and with no ‘hover’ colour or border. I tried to re-create the same settings on the live site even though they were not quite right but nothing changes.

The buttons in question are the ‘view wishlist’ in top menu, ‘Checkout’ (from cart/basket icon dropdown in top menu), ‘Proceed to Checkout’ on cart page and ‘Place Order’ button on checkout page. All buttons should have rounded corners, pink backgrounds with borders as set in the styling/colours option.

Are these options saved somewhere in the child theme that makes it not work from the normal theme options?

Hello,

Usually, you can edit buttons color and border radius from Theme Options > Styling > and edit dark, active types. If any custom CSS was used for buttons in Theme Options > Custom CSS it will overwrite the global settings.
So, if you change the settings but still have the issue with styles then provide us with temporary WP Dashboard access and we’ll check the issue in more detail.

Hi, Yes I tried that. The settings are in there as should be and all displayed correctly until the previous theme update. I don’t think any custom css was used when the site was built, I can’t remember but if it was, then it should still overwrite and display as it always did. No changes have been made since.

Hello,

I checked your site and see that border radius is ok for the mentioned buttons https://gyazo.com/8ab08a6b02e0d05f8a782abc7918475e
You don’t see border because it’s dark color on the bark bg. I changed it to pink and it also works well.

Thank you for that. Can you let me know how you managed to change it? I couldn’t get it to change in styling/ menu. Debbie

Hello,

You are welcome. I just added the border-radius for both types of buttons: dark buttons and active buttons and saves settings, cleared cache. Before you had the border-radius for the dark buttons only.
