Strange thing on changing sub-menu behaviour / hover colour

Hi,

I am using the xstore bundled yellow pencil plugin, I managed to changed the hover color for main menu, however, when I choose the drop-down menu, I try to assign hover color for this level menu: https://prnt.sc/p7rnl4 , then I click on the drop-down menu object, it always shows: “the selected item is hidden in the current screen size” —> https://prnt.sc/p7rpmb , so I have no way to change hover effect (SAME hover color like I did on main menu already) onto the drop-down level menus.

I also tried the xstore theme option, it was so confusing to the term names “secondary menu, level 2 menu, fixed link menu, ……..”, also a lot of places in Header / Styling / Typography sections, and heaps of setting inside with names that were hard to tell which is for what…….. I spent 2 hours now couldn’t work this out… quite frustrated….

Could you please kindly help me out of this, I simply need the drop-down menu has same hover color on text and background like those I did on main menu.

following above issue, other problems are like this: https://prnt.sc/p7rwwd AND if you go to Contact page, then if you move the mouse over main menu, they all move a bit on the postion.

On Homepage I used yellow pencil and clearly selected Global Customization against the main menu https://prnt.sc/p7rxw8 , and also set this https://prnt.sc/p7s0gm , however, seems it has problem to apply these changes to all pages’ main menu….. (so above two issues occurs, but ONLY for the homepage it works all good, if you go to contact or our mission page etc., the main-menu has problem on hover behaviour / colur / padding.

Please kindly help me out….. whole night couldn’t work these out…. much much appreciated.

Since this is a bundled plugin (Yellow Pencil Pro, that I finally installed followed your last instruction), I don’t have license or purchase code etc. so I have problem to get support directly from Yellow Pencil, so would really need your help again on above 3 issues (2 issues in 2) )

issue 4), when i try to change menu hover color for responsive design https://prnt.sc/p7sa38 , so the top left menu object I couldn’t expend it in order to select menus in it, so no way to apply above same hover color effect to responsive / mobile view version….?

Sorry… to simply update: all menu (main menu / sub menu / mobile menu) hover color (text, bg) to be like these: https://prnt.sc/p7sl5e , https://prnt.sc/p7sp26 , above issues blocked me to work this out whole night… thank you again.

Hello,

You don’t need to use the Yellow Pencil to style things that already included in theme options.
Look menu customization is simple:
1) If you want to change bg color for menu items go to Header > Menu styling
2) If you want to change the text color for the menu items you go to Typography > Menu.
All the other settings depend on the menu level that you want to customize:

Check menu now.
