Hi there, I’m finding some defaults from the demo content I loaded hard to edit.

    1) The main Shop page sort order – is set to Default – which is a custom sort and works on all category archives just fine. But on the main Shop page its just totally arbitrary and shows some low end products at the top and random other products. Its not what I want to show on the home page at all.

How can I change this view to a custom sort order? Or do I need to build a new shop page?

See image 1 – the live Shop page
See image 2 – same page when editing the product archive (which shows the descending date order).

    2) How do I change the home page title which is currently “Xstore Elementor Minimal Fashion Demo for WooCommerce”. I’ve edited the page title and looked around for places where the current title could be set – but without success. Please advise.

    3) The top header has a bottom border which on your demo spans the page. On my installation its 40% of the page width and I’m also struggling to get that to span the page. See Image 3.

You can view the site here (its a duplicate store originally built using Divi – now being given a makeover for the US market):

    Thanks and regards

    Hello @James K,

    1. Please check the screenshot: https://prnt.sc/atp-O5GPo-ku. WooCommerce provides custom settings that allow you to set the default option. Regarding your question about the products displayed on the frontend not matching those in the editor, please note that the products shown on the frontend are based on the current query loaded for the specific page.

    2. Concerning your question about renaming the page title, we were unable to locate the mentioned page. Could you please provide us with the URL of the page, or let us know if you have already resolved the issue?

    3. Please check again. It was not a border but a divider, which we have already fixed.

    Best regards,
    8Theme Team

    Hi Jack

Thanks so much for your fast response, was not expecting that.

    1) I see whats happening with the order of products on the main shop page now, that is the sorted order for all products! Not sure how that came about because I only sorted by category – but its not an issue with the settings. Sorry.

    2) Page in question is the home page. I’ve attached a screenshot.

    3) Thank you for fixing this.

    Regards

    James

    Hello @James K,

Please open the home page editor (not via Elementor) and navigate to the Yoast settings: https://prnt.sc/bd-G79K-ryXf.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to submit them on our support forum.
