    Hello,
I created a test environment through my hosting provider Hostinger called “preprod.xxxxx.com” for my website xxxxx.com.

    1) Should I have named it dev.*.com or test.*.com instead?

    2) To register the license on the preprod.*.com environment, should I choose “live” or “staging”?

    Thanks for your help,
    Have a nice day,
    Deborah

Thanks for your reply, I’ve already read your article, but as you see I named my staging domain “preprod” instead of test or dev as you mention in your article. Does the name of the staging matters?
    Should I restart process?

    Here are my questions:
    1) Should I have named it dev.moom-skincare.com or test.moom-skincare.com instead?

    2) To register the license on the preprod.moom-skincare.com environment, should I choose “live” or “staging”?

    3) when I will proceed with implementation of my staging, will i have to do anything with the license?

    Hello,

    1) While we recommend using subdomains such as dev.domain.com or test.domain.com for clarity and automatic recognition, the name of the staging domain (e.g., preprod.moom-skincare.com) does not strictly affect the functionality. You can use the mentioned domain.

    2) staging

    3) On your account page, you can find information regarding the websites where the system detects the activation of your license: https://www.8theme.com/account-user/?user_id=36253.
If the theme is being used on a website but the system does not recognize the activation, please go to the section where the activation code is entered on your site, deactivate the license, and then reactivate it using your purchase code. This will help update and synchronize the license data.
