Could you please let us know if anything needs to be done to the settings to optimize the load speed? After upgrade to 6.0 we did not notice any dramatic improvement of the speed.

Thank you very much for your help!

    Hello,

Compare 2 sites http://prntscr.com/p2aywq and http://prntscr.com/p2az1w and you’ll understand the difference.

    Hi Olga,

There are different configuration on serve on production and test sites. But, based on this, test site looks spectacular. What did you do to bring the test site to such a good result? Have you changed anything? I tried the same GTMetrix test for test environment EARLIER, but the results were very different.

    Thank you for your input!

We just need to know what have you done on Test Site, so we will apply the same on Production.
    Thank you!

    Hello,

    1) I have just updated the theme to version 6.0.1 and XStore core plugin to version 1.3.1
    2) Installed cache plugin – W3 Total cache, enabled page cache, enabled minification options for the HTML, CSS, JS in plugin settings.
    That’s all.

    Hi Olga,

Thank you for the details. Where can we download theme v.6.0.1 and core plugin 1.3.1 from? Please specify.
Also, are there ANY negative impact from W3 Total Cache? And have you changed any default settings for this plugin? If yes, then which ones. We just need to make sure we do the same on production, if there is no negative impact.

    Your help is much appreciated.
    Thank you!

    Hello,

You can find the latest version of theme on ThemeForest or go to Dashboard > Updates > click Force check button and update theme and core plugin. Before update from version 5.6 we would recommend you to install and activate Kirki framework plugin (Plugins > Add new > search for Kirki) and of course do the backup of the Database just in case.

We have enabled Page cache and Minification in Performance > General. After that go to Performance > Minify > enable also HTML Minification. If you use all the same plugins as on the test site you should not face any problems after cache plugin installation and enabling of the minification.

Check the site after update and cache plugin installation from the incognito mode because caching is disabled for the admin user to make sure that everything is ok.

    Hi Olga,

Thank you for the detailed instructions.

Now we are looking into a different cache plugins to implement on production website. WP Rocket seems to be one of the best, as per reviews, as well as it has some extra options as lazy load, etc. Do you know about any incompatibilities with this plugin and the theme? Should it work fine? Please let us know.

Thank you very much for your help!

    Hello,

WP Rocket is a great plugin and many of our customers use it. Our theme includes lazy loading for the images, so that option won’t be very useful for you but in general that plugin works very good.

    Hi Olga,

Thank you again. I did not know that the theme supports Lazy Loading of images. Where in the theme settings can I enable the Lazy Loading? Thank you so much

    Hello,

The Lazy Loading for images of products in carousels is enabled by default and there is no option to disable it.
Additionally, we have “Lazy loading for this element” that can be enabled/disabled depends on your needs, for example – http://prntscr.com/p4mgpw

    Thank you, Rose.

So that means Lazy Load is available only for specific elements, not like for Shop / Catalogue Pages (Product images in catalogue)? Correct?

    Thank you , Olga
