Sort variations on shop page, parent products are hidden

Hello,

Is it possible to sort variations on shop page? (I have also enabled the feature that hides parent products)

Also, product sorting doesn’t work at all when hide parent products is enabled.

Hello,

I see that you disabled the shop toolbar with the sorting options. Could you, please, provide us with the WP Dashboard access to your site to enable that and check the problem.

Sorry, I didn’t explain properly. I mean that the sorting in the backend doesn’t work. Check screenshot.

Hello,

Oh, I see. But it does not work this way. You can choose the default sorting on the frontend in Theme Options > WooCommerce > Product catalog > default sorting and you chose the most recent there. So, order of the backend does not display on the shop because the shop page displays the most recent products according to your settings for the frontend.

Default option doesn’t work, that’s why I chose to show recent products. Please try to choose default and sort a product on the backend. It doesn’t work.

Our developers checked the problem and unfortunately, it’s not possible to inherit the custom sorting if you show variations on the grid instead of the parent products.

About the variation sorting, do you plan on a feature like this? It would be really useful. Or maybe are you aware of an external plugin for this?

Hello,

We did not have plans for this. You may try to submit a feature request here https://www.8theme.com/taskboard/ If it takes votes from other customers
then developers will be able to move it to the “To do” list.

Didn’t meet plugins for these purposes, did not search. But you may try to look for them.

Hello,

We made fix in the theme files. Do you reupload the theme again and again? Don’t update or reupload theme files till the next update if you want to keep fix.

Strange because our team members told that they updated theme, fixed issue and that’s all. Ok, anyway, don’t reupload theme files till the next theme update.
