    Dear Support,

I have updated the theme to the version 3.2. Consequently, I also updated Woocommerce to version 3.0.5.

Unfortunately, the theme is not behaving properly. I realized that the theme duplicated some of the product categories with no reasons. I have now duplicated categories with the same name and url.

I have not tried to delete the duplicate because I am afraid that this would also delete the original category. In my opinion it is not a real duplication… it has the same URL, I do not understand how this could be possible.

Could you please support me please.

    Best regards.

    F.

    Hello,

Please try to activate Storefront theme – official WC theme and check if you have this issue with our theme only or even with official theme too. In case, the problem appears only with our theme provide wp-admin access in Private Content. Also, try to disable all 3-rd party plugins and then check.

    Regards,
    Rose Tyler.

    Dear Rose,

I tried with the default WP theme and the problem is still there. I also deactivated all 3rd party plugins apart from Wooocommerce (for which the product categories are defined) and the duplication is still there.

In private you will find the admin access, however please make sure that the website will remain operational.

    Thanks in advance.

    Please, contact administrator

    Hello,

Please update woocommerce and update all required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/.
We’ll be able to help you only in case problem appears with our theme only and works fine with official WC theme Storefront.
Very likely the issue caused by WPML, so you need to check setting and contact to plugin authors.

    Regards,
    Rose Tyler.

    Dear Rose,

thanks for your reply. At the moment intentionally I did not updated Woocommerce to the latest version because the legenda theme 3.2 states compatibility with woocommerce 3.0.5 only. This was highlighted in several posts in the last week. Is no longer the case? can you confirm compatibility with woocommerce 3.0.8.

Concerning WPML I believe it is not the cause of the issue. In my local version of the website, as mentioned, I deactivated ALL 3rd parties plugins and the problem is still there.

    Best regards.

    Hello,

Yes, we checked compatibility and you can update woocommerce.
If the problem persists with different themes, it means that the issue not related to theme, and you need to check your setting and plugins.

    Regards,
    Rose Tyler.

    Dear Rose,

On my local pc (where I have a full copy of the website), I updated Wocommerce to 3.08. I installed Storefront and deactivated all plugins apart from Woocommerce.

The duplication problem is still there.

I would like to let you know that on my local version, I also tried to delete one of the duplicated product categories. If I do so, BOTH the original product category and the duplicated version are deleted simultaneously. (I believe that this is happening because they have the same URL, it is not just a copy)

I strongly believe at this stage that this is related to the Legenda theme.

    Could you please support.

    Best regards.

    Hello,

As you said, the same problem persists not only with our theme but with default theme too, it means that the problem does not depend on theme functionality. We can help only if issue is related to theme functionality/files. In case problem with default options appears even with default WC theme you need to contact WooCommerce plugin support.

    Regards,
    Rose Tyler.
