I’m using the Royal Theme and have our social media icons on the bottom of the menu on the homepage. How / where do I add the links to the icons and can I move them from their present location to another area or to another page.

Hello,

You need edit the file wp-content/themes/royal/framework/shortcodes.php (find the section “! Share This Product” in line 1918), to change links you need edit the code, for example for Twitter <a href="https://twitter.com/share?url='.$permalink.'&text='.$post_title.'" class="'.$tooltip_class.'" title="'.__('Twitter', ETHEME_DOMAIN).'" target="_blank"> and replace https://twitter.com/share?url='.$permalink.'&text='.$post_title.' with a link to your Twitter account.

To add icons to other page you can use shortcode [share].

Thank you for the info. Before I attempted to modify, I got these error messages:

Hostgator tried repairing it three times. The site reverted back to default. I reactivated the theme and then when I tried to log into the dashboard I got the error messages again.

I logged out and refreshed. I tried logging back in to the wp login url and got the first error message : Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home2/eljefe44/public_html/fermatamediagroup.com/wp-content/themes/royal/framework/shortcodes.php:2382) in /home2/eljefe44/public_html/fermatamediagroup.com/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1207

I was unable to access / log in at all.

Is there an update I missed? Please help!!

The error has been fixed and I’ve edited shortcodes.php file and added your links for the icons.
Please check them.
