Any ideas on when the slowness of the theme will get fixed?

It’s now the most voted feature and I can see it has been an on-going problem for at least over 365 days. I’ve also noticed the support staff’s answers have moved away from mentioning that future updates will fix the issue to “Let’s have your FTP details”, “Here is a Pingdom result; the fault isn’t with the demo” and “It may be your host”.

I tested the theme on GtMetrix:

Also, GTMetrix is a tried and tested system. Please don’t direct me to something like Pingdom.

Is Elementor causing slowness to the theme? I’ve heard other users problems with page speed because of Elementor.

P.S. I would respect you a lot more if you just answer the above, no responsibility avoiding. I don’t need help with FTP and please don’t tell me to go to a new host. I’ve done all that with you before. I’m with a new host. If the demo cannot score highly then it suggests the problem isn’t just at the customer’s end…

Separately, thanks to the designers for their hard work and keep up the good work (design-wise). I do like the theme but the slowness is causing me a lot of issues. I don’t want a refund. I just don’t like seeing user after user complaint about speed and the issue not being fixed quick enough in updates. It should have been fixed around six months ago tbh.

We do really want to improve theme speed and, believe us, our developers work hard to reach the goal. We plan major update for the theme speed at the end of the spring. Also, from time to time we add new options that would help you to improve the speed. For example, last update includes Ajax loading option for the 8theme widgets. Before this, we added an option to disable the loading of WC Cart Fragments. So, we are working on improvements step by step.

Also, if you are developer and have real suggestions (pieces of code) for the code improvements to speed up theme or XStore core plugin we are ready to hear them.

We have this theme on a much upgraded VPS but still contains numerous issues with speed, this has been on-going for some considerable time with quite a few of use long term clients mentioning this

I see new updates being released a lot of the times, and would hugely urge you drop new updates and sort out the speed, it’s no good just keep adding things it can do, while we sit around with slow websites

Sorry to add, for the first time after many years, the other day I started to look for alternative themes, something I didn’t want to do but it never seems to get addressed. adding features doesn’t make it faster!

Take our apologies that you feel this way and that you started to look for other themes. We do understand that site speed is the most important requirement for good selling. This task has high-level priority in the developers’ list. For our part, we will spare no effort to honor our obligations.

I hope we see more action than words as I see the competitors are leading on speed (may not be other features but definitely speed)

We are working on improvements. It’s not so easy because we want to keep the theme flexible and take care of the correct work of all the options it has and speed it up at the same time. So, some tasks take much more time than we would like.
