Our site suddenly down and showing error please check familycare.pk.

    we received following email:

    Howdy!

WordPress has a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, XStore Core.

First, visit your website (https://familycare.pk/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (https://familycare.pk/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=product_cat&post_type=product) and check for any visible issues.

Please contact your host for assistance with investigating this issue further.

If your site appears broken and you can’t access your dashboard normally, WordPress now has a special “recovery mode”. This lets you safely login to your dashboard and investigate further.

    https://familycare.pk/wp-login.php?action=enter_recovery_mode&rm_token=eIojeoeY2WRtt1L1JvpgMS&rm_key=VfT5SDCnUxMpItJoQ7u6im

To keep your site safe, this link will expire in 1 day. Don’t worry about that, though: a new link will be emailed to you if the error occurs again after it expires.

When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:
    WordPress version 6.7.1
Active theme: Xstore child (version 1.0)
Current plugin: XStore Core (version 5.4.6)
    PHP version 8.2.24

    Error Details
    =============
An error of type E_COMPILE_ERROR was caused in line 16 of the file /home/u740646658/domains/familycare.pk/public_html/wp-content/plugins/et-core-plugin/packages/xstore-waitlist/emails/class-customer-notify-new-request.php. Error message: Access level to XStoreCore\Modules\WooCommerce\XStore_Waitlist_Customer_Notify_New_Request::$placeholders must be public (as in class WC_Email)

    Please, contact administrator
    for this information.

also note these 2 plugins were updated just 5 min before this error happened. Please advise

These plugins are now up to date:
    – Elementor (from version 3.26.5 to 3.27.0) : https://wordpress.org/plugins/elementor/
    – WooCommerce (from version 9.5.2 to 9.6.0) : https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce/

Now no action required from your side. just advice required.

So, I have just undone both plugin to previous versions before update and it started working. Issue was that xstore core was disabled in plugins when I tried to log in using recovery mood.

We didn’t have enough time to wait for your response and had to revert these plugins because its a live website.

But Please check once our setup as I shared credentials so recommend what needs to be done before these woocommerce and elementor upgrade next time but don’t do anything and I also disabled their auto updates.

    thanks.

    Hello, Abdul Moiz,

Patches should only be applied if you wish to update WooCommerce.

    Hello, Abdul Moiz,

Please be informed that once the support period has expired, you will no longer have the ability to post on the support forum: https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/support/support/
However, you will still be able to apply patches as needed.

but problem is that your update is very slow and we have to wait 2,3 days after some woocommerce etc. update. If I am at your place, I would be aware of what is happening with woocommerce so that same time my release would go live rather then merchants rushing with error to you.
