My site went down tonight after what appears to be an automatic or recent update of the PRO Elements plugin (version 4.0.4). WordPress sent me a fatal error notification pointing to wp-admin/admin-ajax.php.
WordPress version: 6.9.1
Active theme: xstore-child (version 1.0)
Plugin causing the error: PRO Elements (version 4.0.4)
PHP version: 8.1.34
I deactivated PRO Elements via recovery mode and the site came back up. The plugin is currently deactivated.
Please advise on whether this is a known compatibility issue with WordPress 6.9.1 or PHP 8.1.34, and what the recommended fix is. Should I reinstall a previous version, wait for a patch, or is there something else I need to do?
